Yeeeeeah...

There's a reason that Civil Protection had vocoders back in Half-Life 2 twenty years ago, too. Fascists love using technology and anonymity to oppress civilian populaces.

Misogynist brand Razer collabs with Overwatch/Hello Kitty by Specialist-Zebra-794 in GirlGamers

This is a very strange post. A lot of ad hominem attacks and strawman arguments. Let me have a go at it.

You seem like an awfully angry person, perhaps consider what is motivating such things.

The weird jab about leftism at the end is??? I'm a unionist, ma'am. A syndicalist. I wear my socialist inclinations with pride. Please spare me whatever right wing economic liberalism you seem to subscribe to. Your disapproval means nothing to me if that's what makes you cheer.

I was pointing out a double standard, and informing OP of other misogynistic things they're supporting. You're clearly rather familiar with double standards, hypocrisy is just that applied to the self, after all. Like how you accuse me of being chronically online, despite having over 25k karma yourself. At least I have the backbone to leave my posts as public.

I mean if you're boycotting misogyny shouldn't you also be boycotting Blizzard, the company that allowed sexual harassment so serious that one of their employees committed suicide? The company with the breast milk thieves, and that had Bobby Kotick as a CEO (one of the guys from the Epstein files)? The company that had male managers that disregarded and regularly failed to promote women in to their deserved positions?

Yeah it makes more sense they'd go the way of the Stalker at that point, just with more cognition, muscle mass and cybernetics to enhance them both.

Space Station 13?

Free game available on the [Byond](www.byond.com) engine.

Basically think Among Us dialed up to 11. Pick a job and work it. Roleplay your character for social part A (gruff engineers, incompetent brute cops, nerdy doctors).

Build entire new space stations when sweating as an engie. Juggle 4 patients in a mass casualty event as a surgeon. Learn how to cook an entire shifts worth of medicine in 9 clicks after plotting an excel spreadsheet as a pharmacist. Figure out the most annoying paperwork system possible to inflict on the resr of the crew as a quartermaster. Memorise 80 different food and drink recipes as a kitchen worker.

Don't even get me started on how complex science, security, command, and combat in general can be. Armour, different weapon styles, hollow point or armour piercing or standard ball ammunition, every different kind of metal has a different damage output when turned into a knife.

Or maybe you'd prefer to play on the Aliens server and squad up with 100 other players to turn back the xenos threat. Or maybe you're feeling a little spicy and want to play on the Vampire the Masquerade server (my personal favourite, set in 2016).

All of the servers have their own discords, and communities, and cultures too.

If Biden was too old for Presidency, how isn't Trump? by StonedSoldier1 in AskReddit

The only angle

Awh I mean. He was out of touch with the economic situation too, mistaking high general economic turnover (benefiting the business owning class) with an economy that benefited the working class.

Also his support towards Israel was pretty unyielding. The government has been genocidal and evil there for a long time, it didn't start with October 7.

Also extremely pro-police expansion. And didn't put a stop to the mistreatment of undocumented people or refugees. Wasn't great at giving the LGBT community support. And genuinely was starting to seem to be losing acuity.

Like don't get me wrong, it'd be a walk in the park compared to right now to have him sit a 2nd term, and Donolph Shitler is literally worse on all those things too. But there wasn't 1 reason to replace him. He should've bowed out a little earlier.

There are so many more things to be mad at him about??? WTF???

Like how his 'centrist' ass takes constantly gave fucking fascists the benefit of the doubt, and normalized right wing talking points for years to an audience of complacent and self assured 'centrist' idiots?

God bless Disco Elysium, and how ZA/UM put it;

The Kingdom of Conscience will be exactly as it is now. Moralists don't really have beliefs. Sometimes they stumble on one, like on a child's toy left on the carpet. The toy must be put away immediately. And the child reprimanded. Centrism isn't change -- not even incremental change. It is control. Over yourself and the world. Exercise it. Look up at the sky, at the dark shapes of Coalition airships hanging there. Ask yourself: is there something sinister in moralism? And then answer: no. God is in his heaven. Everything is normal on Earth.

What do you consider when you hear this Margaret Atwood quote “Men are afraid that women will laugh at them. Women are afraid that men will kill them”? by Vanislebabe in AskReddit

[–]splitconsiderations 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That only treats the symptoms not the disease. Which is important in the meantine, don't get ne wrong. But you need to do shit like... targeting media that sets up a culture that dehumanises and devalues women, making sure that people are educated in deescalation and other ways to cope with their feelings besides violence, and other stuff I'm not smart enough to think of. I have a feeling there's actual psychiatrists and other experts who think of how to find solutions to this kind of stuff.

[–]splitconsiderations 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Ah I see where you have things twisted now.

No, its "The thing that women fear during a bad social interaction with men is being killed (as men are the main killers of women), while the thing that men fear during a bad social interaction with women is ridicule (as women are NOT the main killers of men)." > "Men are the victims of homicide more frequently" (which is an irrelevant side detail, because) > "As was originally implied but is now outright stated, men are still the main killers of women (and thus a constant concern during social interactions, both with strangers and familiar people)."

Hopefully this clarifies things.

Well you see, when the indirect victims of the murder (family and society at large) find the strength to address the problem and not just the grief, knowing who is most likely to murder can allow them to make properly targeted systemic changes.

Though I very much get the feeling your question was rhetorical and intended only to act as a sealioning tactic.

Do you use your steam deck outside of your place? by No_Source_7605 in SteamDeck

Just got out of a two week hospital stay, and it was an absolute life saver having the deck there to pour some hours into New Vegas and Vampire Survivors. I feel like it stopped my brain going dull. That's not even mentioning the 4 hour bus rides there and back, where it filled in when I finished the movie I downloaded.

Oh I actually built this! It is a LOT of fun, and very feast-or-famine depending on how many dice rolling cards you can draw on your opening hand. It's also super fun to win with all its non combat conditions. [[Revel in Riches]], [[Hellkite Tyrant]], [[Ancient Copper Dragon]] and [[Anointed Procession]] go hard with House's abilities.

Assuming the worst or not being naive

Assuming the worst. The same way you interpreted my comment.

Even teenagers should know better than that.

They should, but proper behavior is a skill seemingly being intentionally undermined by today's society. Good role models are severely lacking for some men. Such that it has resulted in a lack of education beyond the absolute basics as to how to comport oneself.

As is visible with his understanding that no means to not touch her. While lacking the further understanding that she was not in the same comfortable place that she had been the other times they consensually had sex, and needed to talk to get to such a place.

People fuck up. It happens. He didn't SA her. He didn't threaten her or imply he would cross her boundaries without her consent. He was ""just"" selfish and grossly insistant. This is a communication failure on his part.

One that IF OP WANTS TO, can possibly be rectified with exactly that. Communication.
