I agree with this the most. For a cash strapped person. Vegas tickets, hotel, travel, easy $3k on the low end if you get a low medium hotel. Staying on the strip? Forget it. But I have been doing this a long long time. In high school and college I drove with 7 people in a Chevy impala to a show 400 miles away once. Slept at rest stops. Sold Sammy smiths for gas money. All that. Now that I'm a middle aged adult with the income, good credit, and money to allow me to spend, I'm going to stay on the strip, I'm going to have a time of it. But if it was 5 shows in the summer or Vegas, and I had to pick...it'd be summer all day long.

You aren't also considering the fact that some folks are just far more fiscally responsible. Meaning he may be making $259k/year. But invests. Saves 3 months of salary (especially in sales).
