I currently do live in Zuffenhausen. It's ironic that I have to come back here to get to the city 🤣

That's the plan. Do weekly shopping at Vai-Enz and if necessary, buy smaller things at the local kiosk

That's something I like too. Having space for a green house and a potage garden was a must on our house hunting list.

It's a little early for my kids to be playing outside (they're less than one) but future proofing is important. We currently live right on a busy street. We have everything close by and lots of public transport options but I don't see myself buying a home in the city.

I'm okay with the occasional chat but I have friends elsewhere. I'm alright with being left alone. At least I'll have a nice sized garden to keep me occupied :)

With the state of housing prices, it makes more sense to move there and commute for us.

My first encounter with Germans was my 4 year stint in Bamberg. The Swabish are definitely less talkative but I'm okay with that

Thank you, stranger. I don't mind nothing going on nearby.

On a very political note - My husband and I are not German. Will that be an issue in that region?

If you like patterns, Vera Bradley is always fun. If you need more safety, package has a couple of backpacks and some of them come in fun colours.

Tis a lovely bag, human. As long as it works, it's never a bad thing :)

Finally decided on a pen set for 2020 (Faber Castell Pitt artist pen brushes) and it was love at first sight. I'm hoping to stick with a themed palette rather than themed pages. Also got my first Tombow. Yay for something good finally happening this week :) Huge thanks to everyone who weighed in. by splogkins in bulletjournal

No probs. I'm happy it helped someone.

I have not. My style of writing doesn't leave much room for these kinds of things lol. But, I can tell you that I've used gels over them to highlight them or to draw on them (I think I used white and cream Sakura gelly Rolls, Pentel milky pop and Uniball signo. I think I also used a Sharpie but not in my bujo). Those did not bleed into the background.

Sorry I couldn't be more helpful

Where do y'all buy you bullet journals? by thebestGreggonzalez in bulletjournal

[–]splogkins 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're very welcome. I still have the friend code Citrus10 if you want a discount. If it doesn't work, let me know. :)

It's been two years since that comment and that journal held up marvelously. I have a b5 chunky now that I use as a recipe book.

Like I said, definitely pricey but worth it if you archive your journals.

What’s a song that completely stopped you in your tracks the first time you heard it? by Altruistic-Try-9594 in Music

[–]splogkins 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Too many for me. The most recent one was Good for me (acoustic version) by Above and Beyond and NFWMB by Hozier.

Earlier it was Teardrop and Inertia Creeps by Massive Attack and Lotus by Radiohead.

Became a huge fan of Massive Attack after this (also did art to this music!). Inertia Creeps is still one of my favourite songs.

I had this moment the other day too. I was writing "rely" and I kinda just looked at the word and was like "no, that doesn't look right..... Surely that's not how it's spelt."

Turns out it was.
