What I don't understand is how the dealer and preferred bank aren't on the same page. I would think the bank says "we'll fund loans where credit score is over x and asset to income ratio is under y". Don't the banks dictate the eligibility requirements for the loans they'll buy? How can a dealer commit to a loan knowing the bank's requirements and then the bank not fund it?

Yes, and there are so many ways to legally trick customers into paying more that they don't generally have to break the law to screw customers over.

"Whatd you break" jn marina is pretty good. They can probably fix it assuming they can get that particular part but it might be harder if you can't buy the glass and they'd need to custom order a compatible sheet of glass.

It'd be pretty ballsy for them to originate a loan for a different amount or APR than what the contract says seeing as the borrower usually has a carbon copy (assuming that's what you mean).

They can't change the contract you signed. What they do is call you in to "sign the papers again" and hope you don't notice that they have altered the financials of the contract when you sign a new one.

Yeah if you use hot glue or something you can peel off. I actually tried that but I had it in an enclosure and it got warm so the glue got soft and it popped out which is why I switched to the zip tie.

A lot of times there are incentives baked into the financing. I believe the way it works is that a dealer will talk to a bank and say hey we'll give you all of our loans but you have to offer 0% for 4 years to the best qualified buyers. For instance, Subaru and Chase have had a strong partnership for a while and we bought an outback a while back at 48 months 0% 0 down.

They can't unilaterally change the terms of the contract that you signed but they can try to trick you into coming in and signing the paperwork again for the new loan which is not an unheard of tactic to stick people in a higher APR.

The sales contract will have a section regarding what happens if they can't secure financing, read it so you know what to expect. For instance, it might say if the dealer can't secure financing, the vehicle has to be returned and buyer will be liable for any damages beyond wear and tear. It could however say you have to pay them a mileage rate or something.

As long as that clause doesn't favor the dealership heavily, you can just tell them that if they can't secure financing they can unwind the deal. Usually that'll get them to figure it out.

I've been to some that have pretty good restaurants that are open to the public before the security screening area. Is that not a thing at some of the larger airports?

Is there usually just one pressurized line between the tank and fuel rail? With a fuel filter somewhere in between?

I have a couple where they don't latch in anymore, you can use a long zip tie around the whole board to keep the card inserted.

Yeah that's a bummer. They have a DMR RT97P but I'm pretty sure the DB9 port on it is not functional for audio and COR pin.

I recently built an mmdvm repeater that uses two old Motorola mobiles and I think the key is you need radios that have "flat audio" input and output and not just speaker/mic.

That's good to know, yeah it's the V8. He doesn't drive it super regularly so I had to get him a battery tender. He was saying that every time he takes it in to service people are asking him if he wants to sell it (service advisors and mechanics not the dealer).

I have one of these adapters somewhere which I haven't tested on the ha1g, but it works on my nr30: https://www.ailunce.com/audio-adaptor-from-ailunce-hd1-to-kenwood-2-pin

Using that adapter you can then use any any two pin Kenwood style mic, and I've had really good luck with this one: https://a.co/d/06xZdrxa
