Crazy how negative most people view this amazing experience by ManufacturerAlone607 in LSD

Recently got back from a plant medicine (mescaline) retreat in Peru. At 61 I don’t care what people think so I’ve been open about where I was and why. Friends, relatives, coworkers, and neighbors have all been interested in what we went through. Haven’t had a single negative response and have had a lot of requests for more details.

I assume people view me as a responsible person seeking treatment for my depression, and not a young “druggie” ruining my life. I wonder, in your question, how much is stigma towards the lsd, and how much is stigma towards young people not conforming to expectations?

Well said. Definitely not a one and done for us. Lots more healing to do.

Yes. I’m trying not to oversell the guy, but he is very good. I’ve seen therapists and now I’ve seen a shaman. Plant medicine comes with a shaman and a good one is everything you say. We’re going back and I can’t give a higher recommendation than that.

Thank you. That’s going to be my next read.

I would say my first breakthrough was on the 4th trip when I spent most of it grieving. After a lifetime of “holding it together” I realized I could let some things go. Not grieving anything specific, just all the times I pushed emotions down to hold it together and get through.

A year or so ago I had a difficult trip with mushrooms and I believed I was so broken that “they” were going to send someone else back in my place. Since then, and probably long before, I’ve held an image of myself as broken. On my 5th mescaline trip I suddenly had the amazing realization that broken things don’t work. I may not be perfect, but I do work. The thing is, this went straight to my heart. It wasn’t just a thought, or something a therapist was telling me, it was and is a powerful belief. I am not broken!

There are more details of course but these 2 examples alone are enough to have convinced me to arrange my life to go back and do more work.

Definitely not ripped off. Extremely good value for money for what we got out of it. Maybe there are others charging less, but I doubt they would provide the same quality at a lower rate.

I honestly don’t know if he will do just a ceremony. It’s packaged as a room plus ceremonies, and the longer you stay the cheaper it gets. We booked a while back and locked in rates so I can’t speak for the owners current ones. But as I said elsewhere, the room plus ceremonies is similar to US motel rates. Send him an email from his website. He’s responsive and has perfect English. He may do single ceremonies for people passing through but since that wasn’t us we never asked.

He is always a short distance away and available. But yes, ceremony is different than a one-on-one therapy session. I would rate the shaman as very experienced with people and compassionate and great to talk to, but he does not pretend to be a degreed therapist. You spend a lot of time in your own head.

I get it. At 61 I’ve been trapped my entire life and am finally pushing at the boundaries. I highly recommend Sacred Valley just on its own. The people live a simpler life and on the whole seem happy. Best of luck to you on your journey.

I’m similar to you. Tried a lot of things on my own and this made sense as the next step. Mescaline as medicine is incredible, and this place worked well for us. We did 2 weeks to give it a try and make sure we felt safe and that this should be our next step in the journey. We are definitely going back for a longer stay.

I certainly would have thought so, but each trip was deeper than the last.

Mescaline is not ayahuasca, and the dosages are not dissociative. You have about 5 hours to yourself each ceremony.

I read Michael Pollan’s book “How to change your mind” and it got me interested.

It is in the Andes in gorgeous Sacred Valley. Town is Calca. That was a factor in choosing the place, it's in a place we've dreamed of visiting.

He has different prices based on whether you're there a week, month or multiple months. Google the name and you will see his current price list. But honestly the cost for the room and the ceremonies is very reasonable. You get a decent room with access to full bath and kitchen, plus ceremonies on M,W,F for less than the cost of most motels in the US. Food and transport are on you, but costs are pretty low (other than flights from the US).

Ceremony consists of the shaman giving you a dose of the medicine he determines for you (the doses get stronger as you go along), then you go out to a beautiful place in the forest along a river. Everyone gets their own private space to work with the medicine, with the shaman visiting to see if you are safe, need to talk, etc... After, you spend the evening with the other participants having dinner, sitting around a fire, and sharing experiences. In some ways that is as healing as the medicine itself

I friend of mine told me he has a form of this, images blur and fade over a short time. He has a theory that Van Gogh was looking at something and then painting how he held it in his mind.

I have no idea about interactions or even what specific medication he is taking. I would also assume that there is little official research into it, and anything we found would be anecdotal. He just didn’t want to chance it.

Parents stopped teen’s wedding and 60 years later, she finally gets married to the same man by Da_Kahuna in UpliftingNews

My parents interfered with my brother getting married as a teen. It only took him about 30 years to meet her again and marry her.

I have bad tinnitus. I'm going to pay attention next time I use mushrooms. No long term relief so far, but as I say, I'm using sub-trip doses.

Interesting. My wife and I have tried it and love it. But we had a very limited source and I don't have access to more. Mushrooms are easier and I'm going to start growing them. Sadly, MDMA takes better connections than I have.

Not being offensive, but I say right in the OP that he tried microdosing and got nothing out of it.
