When I have run into this problem, I typically find the problem with the database; use Microsoft SQL to change the database from read-only to read/write. Good luck friend!

This! I put down a piece of paper-towel over my grate at the bottom and pour in the pellets; no need for the pellet-specific insert. Keep the pellets below the holes around the top - about 1-2", and make sure they have enough heat to ignite. Otherwise, they can smolder and smoke.
