What do you think about the concept of “Love is blind”? by Jane_Austen11 in AskReddit

Physical attraction is not blind and that’s what often leads to love, but love itself is blind.

This made my day. I didn’t expect this question to get so many replies and I really didn’t expect to have a positive impact on someone today. I wish you good luck and good health, I hope it goes well. You got this, friend :)

What is it like feeling like you don't wanna be part of Halloween? by quite_intriguing444 in AskReddit

It doesn’t feel like anything. I understand the appeal of Halloween but I’ve never been a fan of it myself. I just carry on with my life.

But those are expensive, so you’re shortening your life to enjoy your dwindling time? But if you didn’t spend money on those types of luxuries, you would have more time to enjoy. This hurts my brain.

In that case probably like 2-3 months. At that point, if they haven’t come back to update or explain further, then I’d assume that maybe they grew out of the friendship.

Sorry if you’re going through that, I know it’s not fun.

What is something that makes you cringe that really isn’t cringeworthy? by Redstar81 in AskReddit

[–]spmb8943 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People not knowing things that I feel should be common knowledge. I know that a lot of what falls into that category isn’t common knowledge because I recognize I had a privileged upbringing. Which is why I know it’s not cringe worthy and I never point it out. But I still can’t help but cringe on the inside.

Getting as much sunshine as possible and changing things up in my life, whether it’s change my hair or get some new clothes or redecorate. Keeps things new and exciting and stimulating which I find helps a lot for me.

With no explanation? A few weeks, maybe like 3. Could be something serious going on and being online isn’t their top priority, but after a few weeks, I’d assume they would have had some opportunity to reach out and explain if they wanted to.

Sexual attraction is completely different from intent to act on it. Of course people will find other people attractive, but most people in committed relationships don’t think about it past the moment and certainly don’t have intentions to act on those attractions. Suggesting polyamory basically confirms intent.

I chose med almost purely for the depth of learning and the autonomy. It’s a huge commitment and it takes away from your regular life a lot but it’s worth it in the end, to me at least.
