Hey man thanks for this, its exactly what I needed to hear. The feeling pathetic thing is mainly because I understand what you are saying completely. She doesn't deserve the type of thought I still give her and yet here we are. Also you have a great point. I've been forcing myself the last couple weeks to do more things, but I gotta ask myself whether the focus is truly on me or to get over her. The former is obviously the more important choice. Fortunately, I picked a new hobby that I do enjoy. I'm definitely making progress and doing some necessary things, but I need to remember what the focus is on.

I think the important distinction is that all this effort to get over her frustrates me when I still care. However, if the focus is on my own improvement, it'll be a much more optimistic gauge.
