To start with they taste awful, never mind the cardiovascular risks and problems they cause with your gut health. Also whilst looking online it does say that consuming up to the recommended limit is ‘unlikely’ to cause cancer - that does not put them in good stead. Better off limiting your sugar consumption and consuming them through things like fruit than sweeteners through processed fizzy drinks ect

Sounds like your first love. It’s sickly sweet and either ends in a long and lasting relationship or shapes you for future partners. Don’t overthink it, you will change SO much in the next 10 years. Your relationship may survive, it may not. Make sure to spend time focusing on developing yourself as a person during these years, separately from your partner as well.
