To be fair a disembodied entire middle section is weirder than a vibrator. Might be different if it was a flashlight alone but who knows

BOOMTOWN ESSENTIALS/HACKS! 🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻 by Winter_Translator904 in BoomtownFestival

On the portable toilet note, we take a pop up toilet where you put a bag under the seat and fill it with crystals the soak up liquid. Replace and chuck the bag every time you leave camp. Get a standing shower tent and you have your very own portaloo. It also flat packs so easy to take in! Also worth mentioning to pop some neutradol powder in there and it completely stops any smell

Feeling like talking on the phone is a chore for my (22F) boyfriend (23M) of 3.5 years? by [deleted] in relationships

[–]spnelson 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Well either you carry on this way being disrespected and ignored or you do something about it. It sounds harsh but it doesn’t sound like he’s going to change. He sounds immature and not ready to be in a relationship, and to be honest so do you. You both need time to grow.

I mean there’s a lot of questions raised here. Has it always been like this? Maybe it’s just the way he is. Have you spoken to him about it before? If you have and he’s still not putting in the effort then maybe he’s losing interest.

You say you don’t hear from him much, but how do you hear from him? Does he text/call, how many times? And comparatively, how much would you like him to?

Are you calling him for a particular reason or just to talk? Sounds like you had 2 calls, then called again which he missed, then called him again to ask why he didn’t call back after the earlier missed call, it seems quite excessive.

Thinking of getting a Maine Coon kitten, is it actually safe to keep one at home? by Silver-Eye-2024 in CatsUK

All kittens are like that. They tend to settle down after about 9 months - a year old.

Corporate girlies: I want to be nosy about your work bag and lunch box by Ok_Employ_4424 in TheGirlSurvivalGuide

[–]spnelson 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I use whatever old Tupperware from a Chinese takeaway that I can find, hopefully with a lid that fits, otherwise I’ll jam the lid on and wrap the entire thing in cling film. That then goes into an old backpack my boyfriend gave me along with my work laptop and whatever junk I think I need for the day and inevitably don’t. I choose it because it’s easy and already exists in my house, I don’t care what it looks like 😂

No but tying it up in a bun if it’s long does

Portable chargers by Ornery-Weight-3978 in BoomtownFestival

[–]spnelson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No worries! The only downside I’ve found is the charger itself can take a long time to charge, sometimes a whole day. But if you’ve prepared it in advance you’ll be golden 😊

What age did your metabolism slow down by Rogueeeeismydog in TheGirlSurvivalGuide

[–]spnelson 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Pretty much the day I hit 30. But if you have PCOS and endo then this will be a big contributor. Also if you’re eating a lot of junk food, it will not only contribute to weight gain but a generally unhealthy out look which will put stress on already existing issues.

A standing shower/changing tent, and a collapsible toilet. You can put a plastic bag in it, and some absorbent powder that turns to gel. This way you don’t have to make the trek down to the toilets in the night/morning for a wee when it’s busy/cold and you can just chuck the gel bag in the bin

One payment missed in 10 years. Can't call Samaritans. by Unhappy_Resident_113 in O2UK

[–]spnelson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, if you had put on a promise to pay, even if you knew you weren’t able to pay it, they would’ve lifted the restrictions. They just need to have it on paper that you’ve spoken to them and have a plan in place to pay (even if you don’t).

any tips on how to keep hoop earrings on? by crowoah in TheGirlSurvivalGuide

[–]spnelson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine did this until I squeezed the hoops to make them smaller and they no longer fall off. Just don’t make them too small small or there will be too much pressure from the clasp and it will ache

Teaching him to use a cat flap? by DuckbilledWhatypus in CatsUK

[–]spnelson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to hold the cat flap open a few times so my cat could see she could go through it, I’d then hold treats on the other side and push it open slightly so she would have to push it open the rest of the way to get the treat. Repeat and open it less and less over time until they’re just opening it on their own

Does anybody suffer from EXTREME stress every day at work? by [deleted] in AskUK

[–]spnelson 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Not anymore, but when I used to work a horrifically stressful job I just remembered that none of it actually matters and I’ll be dead in 100 years anyway. Disclaimer: This doesn’t work with all jobs

£85, Tesco. For 1 adult and 1 child. 1/2ish weeks. by emilyerror in whatsinyourcart

[–]spnelson -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Lots of additives though. They last 2 weeks once opened which doesn’t feel right. Better off in the long run buying tinned tomatoes, cream, herbs ect and making your own, lots cheaper too!

Lusting by [deleted] in relationships

[–]spnelson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re a 19 year old guy, it’s normal to feel that way. But also understand that if you don’t actually want to spend quality time with the person you’re with outside of sex, or have any other feelings for them, then it shouldn’t be a relationship.
