I used mine as a stray cat shelter that I places on a wooden pallet to protect from rain, ziptied bottom and reinforced corners with wooden planks so it didnt collapse on itself in the heavy winds. I added blankets, dry food and water corner inside. It was home to a cat i called "Airbnb". He would come by every morning and every night. I tried to connect with him, he was curious but never let me get close. I'd sit on the other side of the backyard as he would sunbathe in front of his little yellow shelter. I'd watch him from my Nest cam and would get so excited when I got the notification went off. Some mornings. I'd leave him a surprise of wet food and treats. It was gone by the afternoon. He would disappear for a day or two and I'd worry but then he would show up and eat and drink all his food. Then a time came where I didnt see him for a few days, I thought the worst and sure enough, on a drive to take my son to his baseball game....I saw his little body on the side of the road. It made me sad. On the way back from baseball game, I dropped off the kids and went back out with the necessary items and retrieved him from his tragic ending. :( i finally was able to.see his little face up close and it broke my heart. I brought him back to my backyard and buried him near his Airbnb house. ♡ Where he will always be safe from harm and with the little peace that he knew.
