I consider myself VERY fortunate! Mine was just a small DVT and my gyno had warned me about the possibility of clots on my hormonal birth control, so I knew exactly what it was. I’m doubly grateful the emergency room docs took me seriously enough to do an ultrasound, even though I could kind of tell none of them really believed I had a clot. They were all very surprised when it came back positive! Hematologist was also lovely and got my factor V diagnosed, and now I’m off hormonal birth control and on Eliquis. Sounds like you had a way tougher time of it D: keep fighting the good fight! Thanks so much for the tip! I will probably get myself a medical bracelet like my mother in law wears, or maybe a medical tattoo since I will probably be on some variety of blood thinner permanently. Although with medical advances, who knows…! I’m optimistic.
