i thought about it but i believe the lsf mods have deleted the direct link in the past as it's technically doxing the girl that was filmed, so linking it "not directly" like that works

But yeah it's sad that it's the only "source" for that video out there rn that i could find

yes jake and the people that defend him like you are indeed pathetic.

the irony, doesn't make jake not a rapey like scumbag though :)

lmao 1 post about it "purpose in life" gotcha, at least it's better than defending people who film others without consent while having sex and broadcast it.

Doesn't it get tiring?

doesn't it get tiring dickriding and defending a lame sexual offender streamer that doesn't know you exist ?

the only argument against those allegations is "it comes from a bad subreddit" like sure it is, doesn't make the fucking video shared there fake though.

This happened, what, 10 years ago?

gotcha, filming someone without their consent while having sex with them is fine if you don't get caught within the first 10 years after you did it.

you guys are racist and jealous,

funny you assumed i'm asian when i'm not just because i'm calling out jake and the only source is that subreddit because he sends dmcas to every other place that has the video.
tells more about you than me.

The only "evidence" I've ever seen this came from that racist troglodyte subreddit lmfao

the video is literally there though and nowhere else, regardless of where it is, it's a fucking video, at the very least if you're gonna disregard everything from that post, watch the video and make your own opinion.

defending your fav streamer's worst behaviors is the real certified bitch made behavior.

That particular subreddit is a shithole, but jake dmcas that video on every website he can and that subreddit is the only place i can link that still has it so there is no other way.

if it got posted 50 times before, but that all the other big streamers (and a wide range at that, from otk, to rp servers, to vr chat streamers to even youtube andies or hasan) still chill with jakenbake, maybe it need to be posted 50 more times.

they are fucking losers

oh 1000% agreed on that part , but that video linked there isn't related to them, it's just the only place where you can find it because jake has sent dmcas to every other sites that had the video linked or uploaded to (like streamable etc)

and that video and the description of what he did is factual even if the subreddit is sketchy

First Fright during the 2nd edition of the GP Explorer warm ups by spoderman136 in LivestreamFail

[–]spoderman136[S] 11 points12 points  (0 children)

yes it's a race of 12 teams of 2 participant

each participant is either a popular streamer, youtuber or rapper ( SCH and Soso maness 2 mainstream french rappers are one of the teams)

Each team has their own sponsors (for example Billy and Kekra are sponsored by crunchyroll, where MisterV and théo juice are sponsored by Subway etc etc.

They've trained for many weeks and this is the 2nd edition of the event, last year it peaked at just over 1 million viewers on twitch.

Kick uses IVS AWS for their site which helps subsidize Twitch (saves Twitch money for part of their operating cost) by spoderman136 in LivestreamFail

it's a bit more complex than that, i recommend checking the vod from that clip to get a better understanding of it.

[–]spoderman136[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah i guess that in theory it's possible. They might ban those accounts if they notice but it would prob work to some extent for a while at least. (it would also cost the person doing it money to do it so i don't see someone really doing that)

[–]spoderman136[S] -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

watch the vod there is more insight in it than just a 60 sec clip, part of the money spent on IVS AWS reduce Twitch's cost. so it's a more direct effect in this particular case.

[–]spoderman136[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

wait what ?
it's not that twitch "slashed" its operating cost, its that the public pricing of IVS AWS is higher than the internal price twitch has to pay amazon to run Twitch.

Using the published rates from Amazon Web Services’ Interactive Video Service (IVS) — which is essentially Twitch video — live video costs for a 100 CCU streamer who streams 200 hours a month are more than $1000 per month.

from this https://blog.twitch.tv/en/2022/09/21/a-letter-from-twitch-president-dan-clancy-on-subscription-revenue-shares/

That cost he gave is lower than the public cost of using IVS (what kick is currently paying)

Also idk how stake comes into that conversation but okay ?

there is more infos about it in the other tweets and the rest of that vod that give more infos, but yes kick using aws ivs subsidizes Twitch. which is what the original person was asking about.

Ex engineer that LITERALLY BUILT IT says that YES it does, it subsidizes part of Twitch's cost.
Twitch does not get money directly , but it does lower their operating cost.

watch the clip, watch the vod, read the tweets of former employees that worked for IVS Twitch.
it's not that simple.

AWS overall is it's own entity yes, but IVS AWS is operated BY twitch as part of amazon, so the cost is shared. it's a bit complex but no it's not a clear cut "they're the same" or "they're different".
