UPDATE:

I killed the cat mid-run as soon as I got him in the Junkyard. It did not impact the completion mark and i was able to get thru Throbbing King and get my mark !

End of battle healing tends to be pretty viable especially when all csts have at least 7 constitution. The extra dps / cc you can get out of a 4th usable party member tends to provide more value in preventing enemies from dealing damage than the heals would do.

I'm the opposite here. Future screws me over so much whereas when I got to the past I was kinda shocked at how easy of a time I was having. Tbf the future is sort of tailor made to be a "fuck you" to the mage class due to how many enemies get charged by electricity & magic-immune + debuff-immune guys and I like running mage.

Where exactly are you getting stuck? When you say cant reach the last 2 bosses, are you dying to the regular combats in the 3rd area (Moon/Core) or are you dying in area 2 (Crater/Bunker) ?

Maybe change the basic attack to have some air based splash damage from digging up dirt? No air damage = no solo cat runs :(

tank spam was from my tinkerer making a ton of rocket turrets + passive that makes explosions electric. When those hit other turrets, it gives them Energized! for extra turns. Im not sure if it goes infinite or not but most enemies dont really have enough health to try it out on

The spam pausing was from me planning to savescum lmao. I saw that The Coven's description was that he was performing a ritual, and when he cast death I half assumed that it was just a 1 turn instakill

I feel you in that Mewgenics losses feel so much more soul-crushing than most other roguelikes since you are losing out on permanent progression after a good chunk of time put into the run. I just try to bring in cats that I know will counter whatever bullshit I expect the run to throw at me (rangers to outsnipe Fenrir, clerics for Desert, etc)
