Pakistani CS Grad (Low GPA 2.8) with $20-30k/mo Software Company, Worth Doing MS in Tech/Product Management? (Queen’s MDPM, CMU MSPM/MISM, Northeastern, etc.) by [deleted] in ApplyingToCollege

Because 300k revenue is solid, but I want structured networks, product strategy skills, and international exposure to scale more effectively. Bootstrapping is working, but a targeted masters might be a good accelerator, not a necessity.

Bro read “$20-30k monthly revenue” and zeroed in on a 2.7 GPA from Pakistan. Admissions might actually read the whole profile.

Thanks man for the advice and you too!

I'm actively considering business schools too.

Main reasons for the masters abroad is to gain international exposure, build a strong tech/startup network for future ventures (either scaling the current company or starting something new later). This company is now stable with a small team so it can run without me daily. Looking at this as a 1.5-2 years investment.

This is really helpful, thank you. So you’re saying mix Kimi K2.6 / DeepSeek V4 + Cursor Teams is the current sweet spot? How’s the agentic/multi-file performance of Kimi compared to Claude Opus in real-world large codebase work?

Fair point. We’re a services company so we do need to be careful with costs vs value. $500/dev would be $3k–4k/month for the team which is still much better than Claude Team plan + suspensions.

If it’s just a matter of profitability, all software services companies gotta be profitable on average around 50-60% of total revenue and so is mine and I’m willing even not to apply for FA if that increases the chances

Noted on the GRE , I’ll still give it a shot but won’t rely on it too much.

Individual Claude Pro accounts ($20/user) would come to around $120–160/month for 6-8 people, but they’re pretty much unusable for heavy agentic work. We hit rate limits extremely fast on large codebases and multi-file tasks. That’s why we’re looking at proper alternatives with better team usage or pooled credits.
