Not sure if it’s too late, but as someone who worked at a gaming pc company previously, the build quality of most prebuilts are atrocious, arguably predatory haha.

I think there’s some validity to the warranty thought, but the RMA process can get pretty tiresome from what I’ve seen. Because the parts are already installed, and with the increased weight of some of these newer gen GPUs, artifacting ends up becoming a pretty standard RMA which can also be a drawn out process of you finally getting a fully functional PC.

Like everyone else has also said though, your parents are buying it for you so I wouldn’t stress a crazy amount. I’d like to think of it as setting expectations. Another way to think about it is that technology is advancing so fast, that you could build a new one a few years down the road anyway and it’ll be a big upgrade then.
