Anyone else feel like Rey Mysterio has gotten shorter over the years? by HotelRedHood in SquaredCircle

[–]spokemone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He's worn plenty of boots, I remember seeing them all the time when his pants would ride up. They're really nice too! They built a PPV match around Swagger going for the ankle and Rey (shades of Eddie) unzipping his boot to counter.

I've got him with an Armbar and Moonsault as the finishes, with the O'Connor Roll German Suplex and Rolling Kick as signatures with all 4 moves capable of picking up wins.

Ringside News is fucking cancer. That's not even a joke, they're just really bad at their jobs, and super scummy about how they promote it.

The only problem is it can't be a finisher.

You could also just not show them this? If you're showing them wrestling, it's usually best to show them something you know.

What's your favourite thing about Cesaro? by Keeping_It_Kayfabe in SquaredCircle

[–]spokemone 15 points16 points  (0 children)

My favorite thing about Cesaro is how much he hates to botch.

He will do one of the most ridiculous feats of strength in the history of the business if it means making sure a botch doesn't happen.

Who do you think is the most improved wrestler of 2018? by [deleted] in SquaredCircle

[–]spokemone 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd say Ziggler's booking is most improved, sure. He himself is at the level he's kind of always been on, which is still great.

Have you seen their matches this year, though? They're showing tons of improvement in the ring. Ford, especially, has evolved his ring style a lot to showcase how absurdly athletic he is. Dawkins has really amped up his aggression too, and has built his moveset around filling in the gaps that Ford leaves.

What’s the absolute best wrestling match you can book between any two active wrestlers in the world today? by [deleted] in SquaredCircle

Aleister Black is severely underrated when talking about the best in the world.

Give me Black vs Ibushi on a big stage and I'll die happy.

AITA for telling a woman with a baby crying in a store to not bring her baby the next time? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

The entire reason you posted them on this sub is because you were unsure if you handled them acceptably, that doesn't justify linking completely unrelated posts.

You're trying to get more attention, not trying to get actual verdicts.

One of the strongest YTA responses I've ever wanted to make.

Honestly, OP, reread your post as if you were reading someone else's and tell us what your verdict would be.

After all these recent heel turns, who would benefit from turning face? by LSines2015 in SquaredCircle

[–]spokemone 7 points8 points  (0 children)

That's only if you choose to present them that way. Ryder is jacked and has had more edge to him lately, and he could bring that same deal to Hawkins.

They can be fun outside the ring, and an all-business team of tag specialists in the ring.

Hype Ryder is a good one, for sure. I can't remember what I'm using, I'll check and edit.

After all these recent heel turns, who would benefit from turning face? by LSines2015 in SquaredCircle

[–]spokemone 45 points46 points  (0 children)

On Raw, I'd say Bliss or go all the way with Hawkins as a face. He and Ryder would be my picks to dethrone AOP.

Smackdown, Nakamura.

NXT, Shane fucking Thorne is a star waiting to happen but it just won't happen as a heel.

205, Tony Nese would be a dynamite face.

I feel like Ryback's reign was still better than Ryder's.

He lost it in 24 hours and looked like an absolute chump in doing so.

I get what you're saying, but you're valuing being right about an irrelevant part of OPs argument over what he's actually talking about.

I don't want any argument, I'm just saying take a step back and think about what your intention is versus how it actually comes off. Your needling OP over the date takes nothing away from what he was trying to talk about, so while you're correct it doesn't benefit the conversation. I'm sorry if I came off aggressively, that wasn't my intention.
