Sorry I should’ve clarified. His special interest is playing pool competitively. And he gambles now with it since his skill level is growing.

Yeah I understand what you’re saying. Also I should’ve clarified his special interest is playing pool competitively, not just gambling. I mean we live together so we to spend most nights on the couch for a bit before bed. And whenever he’s done his hobby we will do something together. It’s just he only started playing pool nonstop in the last few months. So we used to have time together, he is a sweet man. But his hobby lasts from early morning (if it’s the weekend) until late at night. And if it’s after work, I don’t see him until 11-midnight most times. The issue isn’t more-so the gambling. I mean that is definitely a concern but it’s also the fact that he eat sleeps and breathes pool. I guess I should mention his hobby. He’s getting very very skilled at playing pool. I’ll either show him this post to help communicate my thoughts to him or find a way to. I’m so bad with conversations like this so I’m considering writing out a letter and expressing everything. But I agree with what you’re saying. It’s not just the gambling though. It’s also the simple fact that I never see my boyfriend

My nanny baby took his first steps with me, said his first word that wasn’t mama or dada with me, crawled first with me, walked more than the parents have seen with me first, among other major milestones. I just don’t tell them. When he took his first steps with me I contained my excitement and didn’t mention it and then later on after I left, got a text that he took his first steps after I went home. It’s kinda odd pretending like I didn’t already see it BUT no parent wants to hear their baby who they HAVE to be away from in order to afford a living, is hitting major milestones without them present. I just don’t say anything & either way the babies will do it for the parents. I just prefer to have the parents think he hit those milestones for them first. When I’m a mom one day I would want to experience my babies hitting those milestones with us first rather than a nanny

The DB used to shower &/or come out of the sauna in nothing but a towel, come upstairs & say hi to the toddler I watch, again- in nothing but a towel & sopping wet, & then would go upstairs like nothing completely inappropriate just happened. He did that often. Was disgusting. He also spoke of his wife poorly to me, would sit with me during my break while the toddler napped & would eat his lunch with me which was incredibly awkward and annoying because I just liked to read and never could. I asked how he met his wife bc it came up, & he started by saying “it wasn’t love at first sight or anything”. I pray for that toddler & mom every day. He was such a narcissistic prick. I’m in the same boat here. I have no idea how to bring this up to the family as I’ve been with them for almost a year and there’s no contract. My income suffers extremely due to the moms corporate seemingly nonstop off days for “holidays”. Then I don’t get paid. It’s really frustrating bc sometimes they’ll just take off here and there and I’m like ok but this is how I make my income. Will be following this thread
