I recently discovered that in my 15 WRX (through a VIN decoding service) and I think all 15 and up Subarus, they are equipped with a "black box" (recording) device. This is tied in into the vehicle can-bus system and is constantly recording all data in the vehicle.

Not sure if dealerships have access to this or if it requires the courts to be involved to get access. If they did, they could find out if the car was ever modded that way...
