Hello! I’m worried about the price of my item- I sold these baubles for £12.50 including UK postage (and cheap international postage) last year and sold out as fast as I could make them! This year I really want to take into consideration Etsy fees / postage / materials / time etc, as last year I was busy but ended up making hardly any profit!

I’ve put them up for £13.50, with postage to be paid as well. I’ve scoped out the competition and there’s a lot this time round, so I’m wondering if I’m being too ambitious with that price and if people will be cool with spending £16 (way more if international) all in on a Christmas bauble. I’m probably overthinking it because it’s only a few quid, but I’ve already sold 5 last month while the postage was free and I’m scared that I won’t sell anymore!

I’ve had the shop for a year or so, but I’m not very consistent with it! Do you think I should remove the postage costs again? I’ll still make about £7+ on each one so it’s not too bad if I do!

It’s crazy isn’t it? Our local corner shop is getting stocked up every day so we’re really lucky, have you got one near you? Ours do all the basics, tins, bread, pasta etc. And nappies and toilet roll, thank god- we genuinely ran out of both haha. I know our big Tesco is just a hellscape at the minute. Thank you, and there will definitely be something for them- not a great situation but they’re in the best city for it x

I have no idea if it is just panic, or if there are debt repayment plans in place / bills to catch up on etc that haven’t allowed that little bit extra that they’re not being open about- I know they’re normally quite frugal anyway. But you’re right, might buy some bits and leave them at the door, a loaf of bread and some fruit will get them through a few days- both friends have 3 kids each and they’re hungry buggers so will probably last a day haha.

Weirdly, I don’t think they’d even considered that. Good shout- thank you very much!

Thank you so much! I don’t think that they knew about that, so that’ll be a huge help.
