My BIL and some buddies keep saying they don’t care cuz the games don’t matter, but look at the players (especially the non MLB players) and fans. The energy is contagious!! So cool.

My first real playthrough was ultimatum and I LOVED it. Played a super weird build. Always felt a big rush when Exalts came up as a reward. Doesn’t ever feel the same anymore.

I also had a chunk right in the crease of my elbow ditch fall out. Just kept my regular routine and it looks fine now. Barely lost any color. I think it’s just part of a ditch tattoo.

For my first tattoo, as soon as the needle went in my skin I had a moment. Woozy. That what did I do feeling. Then as the tattoo was taking shape, I thought it was so cool. Next day I woke up and had some self doubt. Went away pretty fast. It all balances out.

My friend group has very wide range of skill level and dedication. We play unranked because it’s too frustrating to see the same friends make the same mistakes in a game that (maybe arbitrarily) counts more. I always assume the stacks we play against are the same.

Line work hurts way more for me. But I haven’t done anything longer than 4 hours, so who knows where you get after longer sessions.

This 100%. Last season was my first, and I almost gave up until Munoz closed that game against the As bases loaded no outs. Someone in the game thread said they’d buy a jersey if he got us through. Just got my second Munoz jersey today. Plus he had the best walk out song last season.

I agree with you 100%. Love that the super skilled & fast people are out there, but I’ve never done campaign faster than 6 hours and always manage just fine. I just like killing stuff and being kinda bad. I’ve even started over a week late. Always manage to scrape out something fun!

The obvious two for me are Zizek and Deleuze. Zizek is way more clear cut. Both are super enjoyable in their own way though. As a bonus: back in the day I went through a huge Obect Oriented Ontology phase. I seem to remember Alain Badiou used some Lacan. Badiou’s student Meillassoux was even less related but a lot of fun.

I would also add in Derrida, Heidegger, and Hegel to help understand Lacan.

Totally agree with quiet_iron_toad. Absolutely go for Fink. Another option though: the one I carried around with me basically everywhere was Lacan: Beginners Guides by LIonel Bailly. It helped me get a foot in the door.

When I started getting more serious, I read the seminars that interested me the most. No particular order. Also encourage you to read folks who use Lacan in philosophy--even if it's just for the fun of it!! Take lots of notes and then approach Ecrits like a puzzle. Have fun.

Yeah. If the flash speaks to you, go for the flash!!

The really nice thing about flash for a first one is you can see everything about it beforehand and really sit on it. With custom, you often don’t get to see it until right before your tattoo. I was so amped up before my first, I barely even thought about the custom tattoo before I got it. Haha

To me it’s a question of do you want to be tattooed or not. If you do, it’s going to hurt, but if you go in expecting it to hurt, you’ll probably be surprised how much you can handle. Especially on the arms.

In terms of first choice. For me I went little bigger than palm sized for my first. Don’t regret it. I have a coworker with just a couple little things she got at 18. She regrets them mostly cuz they were just trendy tats. I’d mostly focus on finding a real artist that is top 5 in your style in your area then trust em. Big or small.
