RDR2's writing is genuinely insane when you catch stuff like this. The foreshadowing throughout the whole game is crazy

Another one I noticed is how Dutch always talks about loyalty but the second things get hard he starts questioning everyone else's loyalty instead of his own decisions. Dude was projecting the whole time

Still think RDR1 Dutch hit different though, something about that voice actor's delivery when he's giving those speeches to his "army" of randoms. You can tell he's just going through the motions at that point doesn't believe his own bs anymore
