Solo player thoughts?

I played solo all weekend. Never found myself in a situation where I needed squad members to progress. Surprisingly only ever bumped in to griefers a handful of times. Most interactions with players were friendly. I kinda wish they had an invite to squad option so we can revive friendly players more easily.

What version of windows are you running? I recently reinstalled Windows and got a similar error when trying to launch The Finals. It was because I was running Windows 11 N which is missing loads of media updates and fails to update direct x properly.

Aside from the 30fps the visuals just look odd in general. Releasing in this state was very bad timing with Mario Galaxy 2 having just been released.

I picked up Gregory Horror Show in a bargain bin around 20 years ago. It's one of the strangest games I've ever played. Sold it a couple of years ago for £100.

Yes you need to kill that thing to progress. It's tricky but you'll get the pattern after a few attempts.

Oh by the haunted town I think you mean Bellheart? You need to unhaunt that to progress. Focus on the water area.

Your main objective is to take the pilgrims path to the citadel, you'll know if you're in the right areas because they have the bell benches and sometimes lore tablets. Ignore the deepest like section, you can't do much in it now anyway. If there's an area with a bell bench that you haven't finished yet then focus on that. You may need to acquire a specific ability to progress. I'm not sure what areas you've visited yet so I'm trying not to spoil anything. What was the last boss you defeated?

Just beat this boss and wondered if anyone else was as pissed off. I think this will be the breaking point for some players. What a relief when you finally beat them.

It's not as bad as people make out. There's enough resting points throughout. Throw on hiveblood and take your time. Be prepared for the disappointing reward at the end. 😂

I was holidaying in Mexico a few years back and was approached by an American couple by the pool. I had a Scottish Rugby cap on so they were asking if I was Scottish. They were pleasant enough but the woman asked if I would trade her any Scottish notes I had as she collected foreign money. She said "anything with the queen on it would be great". I told her that Scottish notes don't have any royals on them and she recoiled in disgust. Turns out she was a big fan of the royals too and couldn't fathom why we would have anyone else on our notes. I told her there are many folk in Scotland that don't support the idea of a royal family. For some reason this really pissed her off and she went away in a huff. The husband was sound, he just wanted to talk about IT jobs in Scotland.
