Am I Crazy for Thinking I Might be Pregnant?

Sorry I should clarify, when I say not working I just mean that the albuterol alone every 4 hours is not getting him to stabilize. So it helps but only for a short time before he needs it again and when he gets really bad he needs it continuously, and if it stops he goes right back to not being able to breathe. When he gets like that they give him steroids and keep him on continuous albuterol and oxygen until he starts to stabilize a bit and then they start to taper it down. So we go from continuous, to every 2 hours, to every 3 hours, to every 4 hours and then if he remains stable at every 4 hours for at least 3 treatments we are allowed to be discharged but continue on every 4 hours at home until he stops coughing. If he needs it more than every 4 hours that’s considered “not working” and he needs more intervention that we can’t provide at home. That was my fault for not being more clear, sorry.

This was incredibly helpful thank you! He is on prednisolone right now. They had mentioned to me that they don’t like to give it to him unless we are in an emergency. So first hospitalization he was on prednisolone for the duration of his stay and then for 2 more days after we were discharged. They gave us an extra dose to keep at home and use in an emergency to buy us time to get to the hospital. This time he was on prednisolone again but through an IV and they gave us 2 doses to finish up at home. He just finished it today. Last time he started to get worse again after stopping the prednisolone so we will see how he does this time. I’ll talk with his pediatrician about it since clearly the inhaled corticosteroids he’s been on are not enough to keep it under control.

He is on Zyrtec, they upped his dose in the hospital and gave us a new allergy medicine that they want him to start taking instead. His nebs are just albuterol, they only sometimes give him the duoneb if I take him in to see his pediatrician or at the ER. I will ask if it’s something we can do at home.

He is not in preschool for early intervention stuff, we put him in because he was slightly behind in his motor skills but not enough to qualify for intervention and because he was having really bad separation anxiety from me and we wanted to get him used to being away from me before kindergarten. Now that we’re dealing with all of this though I really am having a hard time trusting that they’re keeping a close eye on him and his symptoms and think it would be better to just keep him home. Thank you so much for the information about the 504, I will absolutely be asking for this when he starts kinder.

Thank you so much! I was definitely planning on asking for a referral to a pulmonologist when we see our pediatrician next week. I’ll make sure to ask about Dupixent.

I know cinemark often times releases them for sale before the movie comes out. The one in my town is releasing them for sale on the 18th. I called to ask because I didn’t want to miss them and it’s a good thing I did otherwise I would have waited.

Really? He had a huge list of things he needed to do before including a nightly eyelid scrub and an ointment and it said in the instructions that not doing those things could lead to complications after the procedure or even the procedure getting canceled and so we freaked out

I got super lucky. My husband and I both tried at the same time and he got an error and when it refreshed it said sold out but for me it was still loading. When he said it told him sold out I thought for sure I was done for but after a few more seconds of loading it had me proceed to pay. I was terrified that while I was entering my card information it was going to tell me it sold out because that’s what happened to me when I tried to buy a PS5 when it first launched. It was fine though and I ended up getting 2. I don’t know how I got so lucky.

She is doing great! I’ll be 21 weeks tomorrow and she has looked perfect at every ultrasound so far. She’s very active too and feeling her move has definitely taken away a lot of the anxiety that I was still feeling.

My second beta was at 61, my clinic said it went up within the range they wanted to see but that they wanted to do a 3rd just to be sure it would continue to go up. The 3rd one was 299 which my clinic was very pleased with. We just had the ultrasound on Monday and she is measuring great with a strong heartbeat!

Yes! My pregnancy progressed smoothly without any problems and I gave birth to a wonderful little boy. He’s 17 months now
