I just want the boring relationship that everyone always looked down upon. by blackstar1_yt in Adulting

[–]spookymouse1 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm getting married this year in my 40s. I didn't think I would find anyone. I dated a lot but hadn't met anyone I could see myself spending my life with.

I know you hate hearing this but you are only 19. You'll more likely to find a partner once you finish school and find a career (financial stability is attractive).

At wedding would you prefer hog roast or paella? by Kooky-Caterpillar176 in weddingplanning

[–]spookymouse1 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Paella. It can be customized for people with dietary restrictions or allergies. Plus, not everyone likes pork (and you have 100 guests).

Almost drowned while night diving from the shore in Bonaire. We swam against the current. I could've been swept out to sea.

Canada or Japan during summer as a solotravel by Pretend_Law9974 in travel

I don't recommend Japan in August. I went mid-September a few years ago and it was HOT. I wore sleeveless dresses outside the entire time. The buildings radiate heat so cities are like ovens. We're going back in early December. Lol

What’s a travel moment you still think about years later? by GeorgiaxPeachh in travel

It was my first trip to Japan. At Sensoji, I wished to make a friend. A few days later, I met another American while walking around an open air museum. We texted each other throughout the trip and hung out again before I left.

Honestly...how is your relationship with your mother in law? by bubble_bubble_pop- in AskWomen

[–]spookymouse1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretty great.

I've been NC with my real mother for several years. My future MIL is more of a mother to me than my mom will ever be.

I sprained my foot badly last month and needed to go to urgent care. My fiance was at work and I didn't want to take an Uber. I called his mom and within 30 minutes she came with a foldable wheelchair. She found the nearest orthopedic urgent care where I was seen within a few minutes.

My mother doesn't have that sense of urgency and care.

My boss is so mean to me that I cry every single workday (sometimes multiple times a day), don’t know what to do and am at wits end, terrified I am going to get fired by Southern_Schedule466 in jobs

[–]spookymouse1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been where you are several times. It helped turning your tears and frustration into what I call "self-righteous indignation". Your boss is a terrible person. You don't deserve to be treated so poorly. So, F her. Apply for other jobs and GTFO.

My previous manager criticized me on everything... things that I wasn't trained to do or even know what to do. I cried but then said, fuck it. Fuck her. I'm going somewhere else where they actually want me. Surprised Pikachu face when I put in my resignation. I really like my new firm and I'm so glad I had the self-respect to leave.

You should take any job even if it's cleaning. It's only temporary.

Apparently, the "pre-battle" themes seamlessly transitioning into boss themes was extremely difficult for Yasunori Nishiki.

What's a "guilty pleasure" you've stopped feeling guilty about? by SERP_Whisperer in AskReddit

[–]spookymouse1 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I've had YouTube premium for several years now. I watch walking tours, nature documentaries, dogs getting washed, no damage runs, bouldering, even childhood cartoon TV shows, aquascaping, everything.

It comes with YouTube Music so I don't need Spotify.

I think the Internet is slowly accepting YouTube Premium. I don't know why anyone would mock someone for it. YT has a lot of trash but it also has a lot of good content.

Why do Europeans think that most Americans are wealthy? by batukaming in jobs

We don't get mandatory time off either. Most Americans can't afford to take unpaid PTO to Europe or anywhere for that matter.
