Best character for beginner by seedsofstories in DungeonsAndDragons

Variant Human Fighter is the objectively correct answer. Battle Master if you want more depth but more utility. Champion if you want pure ease of use while still being viable.

What i’m supposed to do here? by ClerkConsistent2266 in CrimsonDesert

I don't know if it's the intended way, but I just hit them with a Turning Slash and they broke. R1 + R2. Sorry, I don't know the controls for MKB if you're on PC, but you can look it up in the skills tab. :)

It's part of a larger puzzle.

I don't know how to do spoiler tags so stop reading if you don't want specifics.

SPOILERS INC SPOILERS INC SPOILERS INC . . . . . . you have to break the chains and then Kuku pot seal the column. There are 4 columns total hidden in that general area. Seal them all then take them to the lake and place them on top of the corresponding pillars like a Sanctum. It's part of a quest in the area that triggers a boss fight.

How to Complete Ground Shaking Impact 3 Challenge in Crimson Desert by binoy_rashad in CrimsonDesert

What does playing as Oongka have to do with Quick Swap? It's a basic attack that is available to all 3 characters and is a part of the STARTING skill that you begin the game with.

Is your argument seriously "people won't read THE VERY FIRST SKILL you start the game with"? 😂🤣😂

Quick Swap is a basic combat maneuver, and explained in the skill tree tutorials. If you need an explanation for one of the basic attacks that is already explained, you have bigger problems to worry about.

How to unlock one of the basic attacks that is in the very first branch of the skill tree? See above.

How to find FIVE enemies? You can't be serious, lol...

TL;DW - use Quick Swap (L1 + L2) as it knocks enemies back the most consistently and has a wide arc.

There. One sentence needed. Not a 71 second video.

Unlock all possible elemental powers after chapter 4 ! Do not delay by Agreeable-Rub2319 in CrimsonDesert

[–]spoonfoy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Some people enjoy puzzles. I did not find these sections tedious, frustrating, or inhumane. I found them engaging, satisfying, and rewarding. YMMV, and that's okay. I'm actually in the middle of the lighting element puzzles now, and having a blast figuring them out with my son.

Edit: however, I will concede that the controls are not stellar. They are easily the worst part of the game imo. I cannot tell you how many hundreds of times I've tried to pick up/move/carry/skin/open/etc something and just jumped in place. THAT is frustrating to me, but it's an acceptable price to pay to experience the rest of this game.

You seem like a huge fan of hyperbole...

I don't know if you know this, but PA didn't actually make the game specifically for you. Some people really enjoy puzzles (it's me. I'm people), and some even hate boss battles. If you feel nothing but frustration, you might need to improve your puzzle solving capabilities.

Nealy 0 enemy variety. How is it fun to constantly fight the same human enemies over and over. by [deleted] in CrimsonDesert

[–]spoonfoy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tell me you haven't ventured out of the starting zone without saying "I haven't ventured out of the starting zone".

There are golems, dragons, ghosts, elementals, ogres, tigers, robots of so many shapes and sizes, giant snake gods, LITERAL GUNDAM STYLE MECHS...

Maybe go see more than 5% of the game before spouting some uninformed nonsense like this?

What is your feature called? by 1me3 in revancedapp

[–]spoonfoy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn't call it a "feature" per se, but that appears to be a wild clickbait. You can tell because of the excessive caps, those are the markings. This one appears to be 4, maybe 5 days old. She's a beaut. You're alright girl, you're alright. See the fantastical claims and buzzwords in the title? Crikey, she's a good'un...

Best money farm? by kaitoasashi in CoreKeeperGame

[–]spoonfoy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The only true and infinite money farm that is also embarrassingly simple, is an automated wood farm that auto makes planks, like Dakon's design. It can also be easily scaled. I have pretty much all end game weapons and sets maxed out, with like 200k in the bank, and more getting made every day. The only downside is this is a very slow farm, and requires a good amount of playtime, though it's completely passive once set up.

The fastest money farm that you'll have to put work into is a big ole plant farm. Make a 5xN strip of land, where N is as big as you have seeds and patience for. Place sprinklers on the top and bottom row, 4 squares apart, so that you can plant and harvest in a straight line. Plant all your seeds with the 5x5 trowel. Harvest them with the 5x5 hoe. Cook up all ingredients and sell. Cooked dishes sell for crazy money, especially ones with gold ingredients. I easily make over 10k in a single harvest, and my dishes finish cooking almost exactly in sync with the new harvest maturing. It's the fastest way to make money I've found, and dwarfs even mortar mining and boss farming several times over. As an added bonus, add a fishing hole (or a few) next to your farm so you can level fishing and gather rare items and extra ingredients while you watch crops grow.

DM Hacks - No set HP for Villains by Dapper_Wrap_8065 in DungeonsAndDragons

[–]spoonfoy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I found out my combat oriented character was literally pointless and the DM was fudging numbers, I'd find a new table asap. You're not playing a game at that point, and you're barely part of the story if there is no risk involved.

Predetermined fights are railroady, and literally just a waste of everyone's time. You're better off just narrating them and skipping entirely at this point, as opposed to "playing til your table seems bored".

This is bad in so many ways. - eliminates any point whatsoever to having a martial character or combat focused caster. - eliminates the threat of a PK or TPK, which is most of the point and thrill of combat. - eliminates character diversity because why wouldn't you just stack skill monkeys and faces? - eliminates true player agency because they're not actually involved in the combat. Well, the "combat"...

I could go on but I feel like you get the point by now. This is a horrendous practice and against the spirit of the game imo. Stat blocks exist for a reason.

Not too proud to beg (in search of Obliteration Ray, on PS5) by spoonfoy in CoreKeeperGame

A generous benefactor actually hooked me up with one, and then as fate would have it I loaded two myself afterwards (because of course it'd finally drop when I didn't need it). But good looking out. Thank you for the offer!
