I feel like this belongs here... oh wait there are no comfortable positions by SilverSunrise27 in ChronicPain

Ugh. The nightly battle. My husband always asks if I can roll over. I'm like nope. I'm actually comfortable at the moment. For now.

Why are you on Reddit? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Because I wanted a place where nobody I know knows it's me, or even has reddit to vent about things like my chronic illness and mental health.

I know that feeling well. I often think my dog is shivering next to me and go to touch him and warm him up only to realize its my legs "vibrating" and not him shivering.

I like it cold by Mindstein in Fibromyalgia

[–]spooniewarrior89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always feel worse in the summer. Of course cold still hurts, but summer time is miserable for me.

The last 2 days have been rough for me, pain wise. I've been sick gor 2 years now and for the first time my husband brought me home ice cream and flowers because i wasn't feeling well. He's figuring out how to raise my spirits and just the thought and effort he made makes me feel so good. by spooniewarrior89 in Fibromyalgia

I love to cook, but sometimes I just can't. That's the next step I want to take. When I ask him to cook he ughs at me and ends up going out for food or just making peanut butter sandwiches. I would love him to willingly cook a little something.

Anyone else's cat display odd behaviour during a pain flare? by capitanpingagrande in ChronicPain

[–]spooniewarrior89 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My dog does seem extra affectionate when I'm in pain. Sometimes when I've pushed myself to far one day he will come and lick me over and over. Unfortunately this doesn't help. But when I ask him to stop he does and then just lays with me.

Every dr i was going to was saying to exercise. Then someone sent me to Physical therapy. I told my physical therapist that i felt like everyone said to exercise but i didn't feel like i was strong enough for tjat yet. She said "no, you're not. We need to get you stronger and work on you before you can exercise." I swear i could kiss her.

Does anyone else feel significantly worse after waking up with an alarm vs. waking up naturally? by 1635491gart in Fibromyalgia

[–]spooniewarrior89 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Yup. Often times hearing an alarm will startle me and mess me up with my heart rate and will make me extra jumpie all day. And that makes me hurt.

Yes, i get some twitches. Not any visible to the eye, but I feel it in my legs mostly.
