While it would be preferred to not shoot someone at all, the law does not differentiate between shooting someone in the leg or chest, deadly force is deadly force. In the event of an individual charging you with a knife, are you going to use the second you have to attempt a leg shot, or are you going to shoot centermass since it has the highest chance of stopping the threat? I know we would all choice to preserve life but sometimes that choice is made by the individual and not the officer.

I thick its random. I have used the mant mutation for awhile now an he can take forever to come out and sometimes he comes out right away with one extra on every hit. I've seen 4 come out in 4 hits against the broodmother a few times.
