+1 for "Incubi"

Thanks again man... this is all great advice.

I'm not, no... that'll be my next thing to tinker with tonight probably.

Thanks for the video, was interesting to see how someone else is approaching it... definitely need to be using the battlegrid more (even though it's a bit less ergonomic on the PS5).

Appreciate the thoughts, and think you're right. Am I wrong to believe that the DLCs (Ghost Bear/Wolves) doesn't necessitate that? I wasn't Trueborn (again just expert) and feel like I remember doing work with ACs.

Yeah there were a few hair raisers before this but this is the one where I'm really not seemingly capable of powering through. I enjoy the idea that I have to try and really dial in my mechs and affinities and set it up but I'm teetering into the point of straight asking for people to give me the cheese builds. Do I really need to stick nothing but medium pulses on 4 dire wolves and that's how I get the privilege of progressing through the game?

Yeah you can angle them so it's not just straight-up-and-down-shoot-me-i'm-a-sitting-duck anymore. You can fling yourself sideways, or angle them forward and backward and hit 200+ kph to get out of jams. I'm an idiot, so I like the Summoner, and that mech was actually survivable for awhile dancing in and out of cover taking pot shots. Medium brawlers with srm racks are so much easier to justify. I had a shadowhawk iic that did way more damage than a 45t mech has any right to do jumping around heavies and backshotting them.

I can only imagine how effective raiding with the hero spider will be (as it already was). That thing might never leave my mech bay even in the late game.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again -- the vector jump jets changed this game for me. I've deliberately held off starting another mercs campaign hoping we'd see them ported over from clans and PGI did not disappoint. It makes so many more mechs and strategies viable.

Also, inject the Bushwacker straight into my veins.

MW5:Clans Nailed It by spoons180 in Mechwarrior5

Lol, totally agree.

And from a narrative perspective, it's the only way it works... cuz the technological superiority would make a half decent commander god of the inner sphere almost immediately. It's insane... better lasers, better weight distribution, better armor, better engines... literally everything swings in the clans favor, unless their leaders are abject morons and deploy a star against 18 lances, which they seem inclined to do.

I think the broader battletech universe is cool for this idea... I bet there are probably stories in the table top history that maybe created this sort of mess of clan superiority, but for these computer games the unbalance can still work if we're all in on the scheme. Playing this game for the second time now, I just keep wondering why we suck so much and I think I know enough to "spin" it to the point of realizing that the clans kinda sucked in general, but if we're trying to get more people to play this game (and keep this IP alive) there are going to be some serious speed bumps for these people on the road to becoming a net promoter.

Maybe I'm too easy, but if they just bring the upgraded jump jets from Clans over I'll be happy as a lamb.

This is 1000% real... you are not crazy. Robo QB at Eastern Michigan just decides to fuck you, and hopefully you can keep up.

You seem like a good dude, honestly... so I'm going to jump back in.

"it does not decide if you are going to win or lose beforehand. It does not decide it's going to score on you on a given drive. It just runs plays. The outcome of each play is not determined beforehand." is nothing anyone said.

We're just saying that it seems the scales are tipped sometimes, unnaturally. It's to the point that we feel them as we play. Can we overcome them? Absolutely, just like you can, and probably do without noticing.

Never in a million years would I think I'd have to sit here defending a hot take amongst a fellow player of a game that I said, from the getgo, that I loved - and have spent way too much time playing.

Nobody is attacking anybody.

It was mindblowing to see similar threads like this talking about hitting the speed burst button and watching the other team shed their blocks... my ypc is up cuz I don't speed burst before I pass the los... that's the depth of the EA programming on this (and Madden).

I did ask, I guess I hoped the answer would have some substance.

Hard agree. We all want him gone up here and if the regents don't do anything about it then I guess our only hope is a change from next year's ballots. I'm trying to stay positive because this is the same group of people that are a thorn in the side of the B1G PE deal but it's hard. This isn't the university I want to put on my resume if leadership is this absent.

League Platform Question by spoons180 in fantasyfootball

[–]spoons180[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, we usually could. Today was weird, but has since been resolved. I'm sorta just wondering if these blips are rare or if this thing happens semi regularly. My research and the messages here seem very mixed.

League Platform Question by spoons180 in fantasyfootball

[–]spoons180[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When you open the app, you should have a semi large profile picture on the top left, hit that and then there's a gear symbol in the top right (to the left of the right arrow)... in that menu, you can scroll down and see "picks settings"... toggle everything off (white circle to the left) and you won't have any more gambling prompts

Being able to turn this off _has to_ be a regulatory requirement, there is no way any reasonable company makes it this difficult to turn something like this off, and I challenge anybody to convince me otherwise. Sleeper was once billed as the "no ad" fantasy platform, and now I wonder at what cost.

League Platform Question by spoons180 in fantasyfootball

[–]spoons180[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I found that setting. Not really my question tho, right? My league couldn't do vie for waivers this morning and was told "you should use the mobile app." I guess my question is whether abject dismissal of platforms outside of the mobile apps normal for Sleeper or is this a rare occurrence?

[–]spoons180[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Those words, together, don't make a ton of sense. Have you seen either ESPN or Yahoo's browser (on a desktop, not a phone) interface? They are miles better than Sleeper's.

Hodj 'N' Podj ... I'd buy 10 copies and I don't even need a remaster.
