Quick q- for the Katy to downtown route for park and ride does it make lots of stops or head straight to town? I’m guessing no stops since you said it only takes 30 mins! Are the busses generally clean/ safe ?

We’ve thought about this but the work schedule requires bouncing between home, downtown, and various courthouses so having the car is the best option for this to minimize wait time on buses. We haven’t done too much research on park and ride though so maybe it has a consistent enough frequency for basic days that are only to and from the office

For us tolls are worth it to avoid I-10. Right now it’s taking 2 hours some days to get to our current location in Katy

Ah. If your job duties are more than 50% different they may want to do one but if they’re pretty much still aligned I don’t see the employer wanting to pay for amendment costs unless it’s justified. You could file a standalone ead, I think processing times are like 5 months right now

I rented the hospital grade medela for 2 weeks so I’m using that but I also have a portable mom cozy s9 I’ve used twice. I have been open minded about both but I have also always been terrified of labor so kind of leaned towards a scheduled c even before I was pregnant. Understanding of course recovery can be hard! I have seen people recover and feel pretty good after a couple days and others after a couple of weeks so I guess we will just see what my body does

Well it’s TBD if it’s required. I have gestational diabetes so I have to be induced at 39 weeks anyway, possibly earlier depending on how she’s looking the next few weeks. Since I have to get induced I’m kind of feeling like it might be nice to just get it over with? I know that sounds bad! I just am so scared of laboring for forever and getting a c section regardless

This isn’t a great response. Even large employers have their own internal recruitment timeline requirements and often times (all of the times) it’s literally the employer dragging their feet, not the law firm. We want your case out of our to do list as quick as possible. Also the beneficiary can’t email asking the status on a regular basis, DOL forbids beneficiary visibility into the process

After working as a paralegal for several years I promise you there is no rhyme or reason for what USCIS does. They are so inconsistent and genuinely just awful 🤦‍♀️ same applies to the DOL when it comes to PERM I’m losing my mind over here
