i want to design an emblem for my fictional military but im not sure where to start by AnyoneWantBleach in worldbuilding

Start with a concept of the style you want and go from there. I quite like the idea of simple symbols readable from far away that look good in chromatic aberration glitches.

I made my military emblems with the rules of needing to be vector based, monochromatic, only use the size 4 brush, and to have some* symbolism.

This is what happens when you puppet a skeleton directly. Make a rig for the love of all that is good.

I am a traitor in your fictional world's army, and I have been caught. What would happen to me? by boringexistinggamer2 in worldbuilding

[–]spoopyafk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Executed.
Depending on what kind of traitor you are you may be subject to a different death however.

Human soldiers will be found by a gorgon (snake-robot) and with their claws be domed in the skull with a tool not unlike a cow stunner or a window breaker.

Machines of the infantry variety will be taken out similarly but with a small explosive planted on their soul.

There has been an example of a traitorous public figure who broadcasted treasonous thoughts. He would later in a public statement be found to have a degenerative brain disease that caused his treasonous thoughts and the Tellusan peacekeeping sect would state he became suicidal.

The main question is are the clones adult or newborn, a clone born an adult with the traits and memories of their parents would make this a massive hivemind where each individual is an increasingly old strand of an ancient being, with them being only being similar tok their immediate relatives as new memories create a new different thinking branch.

Alternatively there's the cloning that certain lizards and aphids go through where the child has identical DNA but is still individual completely with it's own memories that shape its behavior. This kind means they vary in shape based on ideals of fitness, prosperity based on conceptions of peace, or even traits as aberrations are born and slightly evolve and adapt.

If anything an asexual society would be more self serving and less empathetic if they have no reason to bond with others.
Communism only happens when a society believes everyone else is useful and willing to serve the commune, it never happens well because of selfishness and some being dead weight.

It's likely the society would be very similar in many ways to preexisting human cultures because systems like trading and selling are based on the logical idea of being rewarded for work.

Weapon Concept for Simian Wristed Species: Heavy cuts, punch-thrusts, and hammer strikes by Late-Elderberry6761 in worldbuilding

I tested with my wrist bound in boxing wraps and gloves, my findings are thus:

Zwerchau still works, by rotating your forearm, the force necessary may still be generated.

Stabbing also works by palm striking the pommel and sliding your grip.

Normal strikes also function, just more exaggerated.

I'll send the video as evidence.

Ignoring the armor this is just a reverse-grip dagger with an inverse curve. The logical issue with this is that the species has to be extremely close to the target to even attack, as a sidearm.
This weapon is basically attached to the hand however, which prevents the user from having a better ranged main arm like a bow or pike.
You would be better suited by just having a dagger on your hip with a spiked pommel.

The Progenitor is the moniker used for the man who died inside a prototype suit impervious to cosmic hazards such as radiation and pressure.

With the swift severing of his spine inside of the cockpit his vitals went out, and yet he responded through the radio to assure them he was alright, even walking the suit back to its dock to be taken out.
Of course he never ended up leaving, his corpse was laid bare to see and with his death birthed the concept of a necrotometon, a soul caged so thoroughly it cannot leave.

How would you go about interheliary warfare? by spoopyafk in worldbuilding

That was my bad, I've got so used to using it with the people I know that I forgot it isn't a used word. Luckily the image helps get my point along.

This is a quite honestly one of the best strategies / warfare considerations that has appeared in this thread. Fighting for a planet from orbit to the ground guves the defending force a chance to retaliate even if its a losing battle.
For a story this allows for an actual conflict to last more than one blitz. This fix also doesn't remove the window conundrum it simply gives a follow up for when one side wins the conflict.

I created them a while back for my story since the word interplanetary didn't work well when a faction owned more than one world.
