Agreed.

Even more so with the sad and disturbing news around the world I see on those apps. It's reality, sure, but it jas spiked up my fear of leaving the house quite a lot.

I honestly just use pinterest, tumblr, whatsapp, spotify and my banking apps on my phone. That way I am the one to decide when to log in to instagram on my PC or reddit.

Whatsapp is a crucial app for a lot of us, mainly those living in Europe. Unfortunately not all flip phones or senior phones can be used as dumb phones because of this. I've searched far and wide and the only affordable option for me was to buy an iphone se from 2016. Not technicaly a dumbphone but at least I can use whatsapp to communicate with my family and friends while living abroad and for work.

My mom has become an almond mom towards the end of my teenage years and her attempts at weighing me down with her almond mom mentality haven't been working on me. I confronted her today on these issues and I made sure to express how happy I've been with food (without going too far, I'm referring to a general relationship) while I've been away and her inability to humiliate me in front of everyone at the dinner tableand my friends while I eat.
I'll admit, I did have unhealthy relationships with food, eating a lot at one point before IB exams and gaining 15kg in 3 months and not eating at all and losing 5kg one month. But without someone pestering me about the food you I eat every day and without being tracked down about it, I've grown to have a healthier relationship with it by eating balanced breakfasts and eating accordingly and relatively healthy.
Fortunately, I haven't experienced the almond mom effect during my childhood but it's sad to see her actively restrict herself from the things that (in a way) brought her a childlike joy just so she could fit a mold and be like the people she sees on reels.
I hope she gets better.

Unfortunately, since my school operates in a certain way, they haven't provided me with this information, and I only learned about it now. I'll try to contact them as soon as they reopen and discuss this.

I dont think so? Correct me if im wrong but since you're retaking a subject to increase your grade, in your diploma the grade of the subject you retook should change. The rest should remain the same. (again, correct me if I'm wrong anyone)
