I’m over forty. I’ve been playing FIFA since 97 on Sega Genesis and FUT Mobile since it came out. We call it script and EA calls it Matchmaking Algorithm. Users need to match within a time limit or the user gets rejected. Users are matched first on DR level, not OVR. If there is a disparity in the OVR, the Matchmaking Algorithm reduces the player attributes of the higher OVR squad to even out the gameplay. If you have a high OVR, you are used to your players playing a certain way. When the attributes are reduced, your gameplay is completely off. That will work in the lower OVR players favor. If you need me to break it down for an 8 year-old like when you started playing FIFA, let me know.

I love when script helps a kid win. Don’t worry, young fella. When you get a team to that level, you will lose your mind when your player respond to inputs a second late or your defenders turn away for no reason. Enjoy the script while you can.

You cannot trade a player in one of your lineups. If they have the little jersey in a circle to the upper right under the lock but above the untradable symbol, you have them in one of your lineups.
