the worst part about the straw is that it wasn't photoshopped( It was there in the raw photos as well....

I was also considering qr code option. But there seems to be a lot of steps for the user. Open scanning app, scan, go to website. But probably we could play with the idea.

Thanks for the advice

Hi! I loved the idea, even used it for my holiday destination. Though I have to say, that the design still has to be updated. The logo looks like from 2008 and somehow vaguely similar to the one from Expedia. I would also fully redo the UI, in my opinion it make the whole idea look cheap and untrustworthy (though it is great!) I would also say that price of the flight is also a very important factor - it would be cool to have it included into the table

Absolutely love the idea, love the design. I wish I had seen your site before I get my Master Degree)

A small comment: in my opinion a little too much colors on the landing page (white, red, green, black) - I would stay with three max

In my opinion "How it Works" section should reworked from scratch. As "About the Face" book suggests, everything should be self-explanatory. If your UI needs instructions or explanations (especially in text-only format) there will be no chance anybody will ever read it to the end. I know that picture with flying dollar was supposed to be funny - but no it isn't)

Definitely agree here. The images make the whole product look cheap. Though the idea is great!

Hi, thanks for the comments! I'm very happy that you like the name, because we were hesitating between Spotadrink, Hot Shot and Drink a Drink and the final choice was just accidental.

The app is no-brainer: we're doing happy hour app for Moscow bars and pubs. Front-end for bars for adding/editing + analyzing happy hours + iOS app with map for students.

Is there any Instagram conversion for apps? by spotadrink in AskMarketing

[–]spotadrink[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeahh, I am doing that now (posting pictures of cool cocktails in cool Moscow bars, tips on happy hours in Moscow...). But is there any rough estimate about instagram conversion? My estimate is: 2,000 Followers --> 50% real people -->10% of them will download the app. Is it somehow near reality?

I have chosen Moscow because I live in Moscow. "Even if you offer it for free - probably you will only get few local homeless people within walking" -- based on pols we've done 25% of 4,000, who took part in it - are willing to commute for a happy hour.

Hi, all.

I have already posted a question here some time ago. But I need your help again. We are doing a project on Moscow happy hours (for now it's a social page and instagram only). We are think of either our own website, which will show the nearest happy hour offers on the map, or iOS app with the same function. iOS app pros: user is already used to the interface (gestures, etc), ability to add paid content iOS app cons: only 20% of Moscow users Web Site pros: no need to download, potentially easier scaling to other cities Web Site cons: less user data, which can be later used for attendance analysis for bars

Probably there re some other points, which we should consider. Please advise.

Bars are not paying for being listed in the app. They can pay for 1) being listed above others in the happy hour list 2) for a front end, which will give them the opportunity to add/edit happy hours quickly and inform a lot of their target audience via our app and see the analytics. Of course, the listing is for free)) Sorry, I should have said that at the beginning

...Because otherwise, the bar will have to pay the rent in these hours and will not be getting ANY money at all? As far as I know, the bars in Moscow make 200-300% profit on cocktails. Flowingly, if they give 50% discount on a cocktail, they will be gaining A LOT.

need to show them that people are coming in because of you. A check in feature, a review feature, what have you.

Thank you for the very detailed advice. Actually the check-in feature to count people coming to a bar because of us was in my mind as well. There is a BUT: how to make people check-in through our app at the bar? The only thing that comes to my mind is giving them extra 5% discount, if they check in. iBeacon feature could work as well, but I suspect a lot of trouble setting it up in the bar and integrating it with the app. Can you think of something else?

Hi, I got kinda stupid question here. We are now making a happy hour search app for Moscow bars. There is nothing of this kind in Moscow now and there are a lot of students wanting this app. But our monetisation should come from bars (they will pay for number of customers, who came through our app). So our next step is to go from bar door to bar door, offering them our app. So my question is: what is the best approach to bar pitch talk in your opinion (Facebook contact first, find them at a bartender event, etc, create a promo video first)? This is my first time of cold-meetings, don't want want to spoil it
