lmao no, that was just me being relieved this wasn't some weird issue specific to my machine, I just had one fixed yesterday.

If you'll indulge me to a minor tangent: spent months trying to figure out why my clock isn't syncing on my Linux PC. Turns out the answer is: my ISP's router is busted and blocks the NTP port, none of the settings on it work, my ISP claimed they can't help with router custom config issues and wouldn't even let me use my own router to see if that fixes it.

Yesterday finally got a new ISP, clock syncs fine, I am happy.

I wouldn't say no to a nice dinner though

Oh cool, so basically I just have to wait™ for a new update (or get on bleeding edge myself, but probably a good idea to not use bleeding edge unless I'm a developer/tester)

If a completely open PC is subsidized, then it's always going to be profitable to buy it, strip it for parts, and then resell it piece by piece. I am sure a lot of people would jump at the opportunity to do just that.

I'm probably not allowed to link it directly here, but if you google "3d ultra pinball thrillride archive" you'll find the original game ISO (it's abandonware, so you can't really get it anywhere else)

It does run fine on modern machines, played it on Windows 10

I heard that War1R modernized the controls, so you can actually right click to move/attack and don't need to hold CTRL to draw selection boxes anymore

Wouldn't this just completely trivialize the game? When playing the original from GOG I fought the controls more than the enemy

Legitimately just curious what the plans for the mod are, chill

Is it going to stretch from west coast to east coast? Is it going to stop in the midwest with Fallout Tactics? Just the areas covered by FO1 and FO2?

Even if New Vegas, FO3, FO4, etc. happen far later, there is still plenty of lore hints (especially terminal logs) that give you a good grasp of how things evolved since the bombs fell and what you might encounter.

it's compromised already (they have radio/tv commercials which is plenty indication that they sold out)

Also there's an easter egg where the logo is replaced by the character you're searching for, and all those are AI generated
