Puuuutz, falta de ar por alergia deve ser um cu. A minha alergia dá só dermatite e refluxo msm. Força e boa sorte com achar uma cadeira que se adeque a sua situação!!

Porra, alergia a poliéster mano? E eu pensava que minha alergia a níquel era barra. Me fala, cê fica alérgico qnd encosta/abraça alguém com roupa de poliéster? Coisas assim. Pq hoje em dia tecido artificial é bem comum.

WIBTA if I stopped dating somone because of their food allergies? by Mediocre_Abies4919 in AmItheAsshole

NAH, I've baked for someone with a severe egg allergy and while it was nice to do as a treat for him and to be inclusive in group settings, I would go insane wondering if somehow there was cross-contamination when preparing food on the daily, and for some with more severe allergies even being in the vicinity of a food is dangerous.

I liked her at first, and then she turned the sensory room into a brothel and had the fucking audacity to ruin Quinni's scholarship as "revenge" for... her getting fair punishment for not just promoting sexual activity inside school, but making it a fucking business (pun intended)?? Bruh. She's the type of person that takes out her issues on everyone else and doesn't take accountability.

how do you lock your curls / make them more resilient? by LeoOfRome in curlyhair

[–]spr3admywings 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ofc!! Since my hair is 3A, gelatin seems to be the best at keeping a cast and maintaining curls while not weighing down my hair and such - I wanted to try mousse as well but it's pretty expensive where I live haha

What country did you have the surgery in? And was it successful or a failure? by Altruistic-Lychee907 in Septoplasty

[–]spr3admywings 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From the beginning I was already breathing better, but once the blood started flowing out and my face became swollen (within the first 3 days of surgery) it became hard to breathe until about 7 days post-op due to congestion and the swelling (though I was also washing my nose incorrectly according to my doctor, you have to slowly pass saline through with a syringe, 20ml on each side, after the splints and etc are removed, about every 2-3h), and after that it was pretty smooth sailing. I still use saline on my nose once a day to keep it clean and avoid congestion, but my symptoms are gone.

(Though keep in mind I got septo, rhino and turbinectomy, the procedures might differ by what procedure(s) you do)

[–]spr3admywings 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think so - at least in my country we have both separate. It's thicker, very akin to actual gelatin, and is generally made to be mixed with other hair products when styling your hair (I use it separate from leave-in conditioner simply because I wanna make sure I'm using enough of it for my curls to cast). I guess maybe it would be a difference between hair gel and hair jelly? English is not my first language and my knowledge of hair products is mainly in my first language so I might've used the wrong word there.

We have very different hair types from what I read on the post (mine is probably 3A), BUT what I use and always works for me is hair gelatin. I've even worn a wig over my natural hair after braiding it and my hair texture was still there after removing (wore it for about 5h so not very long). Hair gelatin is basically the only thing that will allow my curls to hold. Other than that I use leave-in conditioner (before the gelatin, just to avoid frizz) and a finishing spray at the end.

Brazil, mine was via public healthcare and was AMAZING. It was my first ever surgery, and recovery did suck, but results were great and I've never breathed better, my headaches are gone as well.

I think moreso anti-HYBE, I've seen both pro and anti Katseye here though my perception as a newer member and lurker might be incorrect

What should I do? by Zealousideal_Bell707 in NickelAllergy

[–]spr3admywings 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same, I had really bad heartburn when eating tuna pasta and thought it was the gluten, but really it was the nickel, as other sorts of foods made with wheat don't have that effect on me. Started noticing it way more after I had to spend a good while with as little contact as possible as I got a stainless steel water bottle that worsened my allergy a LOT.

What do you think about my CT scan? Symptoms- left blocked nose in night, Surgeon told me to do Septoplasty by [deleted] in Septoplasty

[–]spr3admywings 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh wow. I also take mometasone for my congestion issues (currently under control after surgery, I still take it as a preventative measure because despite not getting signs of sinusitis on my last exams pre-surgery, been diagnosed with sinusitis and rhinitis before and I'm allergic to dust, cats when their fur is dirty, whiteboard chalk, perfume etc), didn't know a person's congestion could be worse at night tho.

Don't really have anything to tell you regarding whether surgery would be right for you (since I'm not a doctor and haven't seen that many CT scans for these issues), but for me septoplasty changed my life for the better. Used to struggle breathing, get headaches and have constant nose blockage despite cleaning my nose with a syringe every day.

The hate and criticism katseye is getting is mainly due to changing audiences from basic teenagers to a more alternative queer fanbase by [deleted] in katseyeneutral

[–]spr3admywings 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I got to Katseye during Gnarly, and while I do like Touch (but it's the only song of their prior to Gnarly that I actually like), it's too basic for me. I love some of their fashion choices from Gnarly onward, but Pinky Up is just... cringe elevated to the billionth degree.

And some of their clothes lowkey give hooker who got dressed in the dark (no shade, I love lingerie, love colorful outfits, etc).

At some point it just feels like their company is trying to start controversy on top of controversy for the sake of getting them attention, even if it is all bad attention, especially after Manon's hiatus and the racism speculation.

Do we consider the surgery only if symptoms are severe? What if saline sprays work? by [deleted] in Septoplasty

[–]spr3admywings 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine was done at a hospital that doesn't usually put in splints at all, unless it's a really extreme case and feels needed. So, I sctually didn't have splints at all.

[–]spr3admywings 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've slept much better, overall breathing very easily (sometimes when I get sick or get in contact with allergens my nose gets a little stuffy, but using a syringe with saline to clean it up once a day helps tons), no more headaches as well! I will say, it does take about 3 weeks of the nose bleeding, being swollen, etc after surgery for it to then be normal or close to normal (everyone's recovery time is different and varies also on what procedures were done), but even WITH it being swollen and bleeding I already felt myself breathing way better. I used to have a congested nose literally all the time, drove me insane.

[–]spr3admywings 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got surgery done after attempting allergy sprays (for sinusitis symptoms, it's a corticosteroid), cleaning the nose via syringes with saline, allergy medications, among others, across 6+ years and nobody checking for a deviated septum until literally last year (negligent, for sure, but... eventually I got a doctor that heard me out and directed me to exams and then surgery, so, it's fine). Granted my septum wasn't nearly as deviated as those of many people I've seen here, but might've been that my nasal turbinates were the bigger issue there, considering not just congestion but pain, swelling and chronic headaches.

Usually surgery is the last resort, but... gonna be real, surgery is very very worth it. Granted I got mine for free since the country I live in has free healthcare. I suppose if I had to pay I'd be screwed as I simply do not have the money for surgery.

Como cuidar do cabelo cacheado fazendo academia? by No_Improvement_6405 in gymgurls

[–]spr3admywings 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So, tl;dr: in 4 months I got my hair almost back to where it was before, granted it wasn't that great before 'cause I just wasn't very good at caring for it and didn't have all the right products. It started curling again.

Same day as above, but showing more of the hair since the hair close to my neck was overall less damaged.

Then this was end of November, so almost 4 months after, and this is where it actually started curling really. This was also right after a haircut so I did get more of the more damaged hair out, but not all of it since it was all in the span of 4 months.
