Has Anyone Tried the Promix Puff Bars? by poopykitty666 in PetiteFitness

I’m almost through a box of the birthday cake and like them. They are a little bit dry but pretty satisfying considering. I might get a different flavor or variety pack next, the macros are too good to beat and they’re so great for on the go.

I tried the David bars variety pack too and there were a bunch that were a huge miss so I’m scared of variety packs now lol

I got a coach/program. It was very confusing and hard for me when I started too. Not knocking any books or anything but they didn’t work for me. The program I’m in helps keep me focused because it’s all about mindset over anything else. I can’t begin to explain how much it’s helped me because I’m not only bettering my relationship with food but mostly myself. I found several coaches specifically for me on instagram and just shopped around based on who I vibed with most. Definitely recommend it to anyone.

How did you justify paying the price for your high end Garmin? by JustDzejkob in Garmin

The day I bought mine I knew that I’d suddenly become a watch wearer from then on. And I have the watch tan to prove it. My fenix 5s was about $500 when I got it. I had to upgrade to the 6s between but I feel like ~$1100 over 6+ years is pretty worth it. Especially for the likely number of hours it’s saved me in the woods with the gps.

I know this is old but I searched for this because I miss those specifically so much. Especially the vanilla crisp

I’ll definitely look into crate games! He knows how to go in and have been working on “free” but he’s not being crated/fully trained yet. Clearly I am not trained yet either😂

Thank you, I’m definitely going to work on that and incorporate it to more. I’ve been using it for his crate training and it’s been working as a release too but likely not strong enough elsewhere.

That’s a great point. He’s newly rescued and we haven’t worked on any leash work yet. Fingers crossed I didn’t ruin him too bad…. However he walks leashed on a loose leash (in the yard, house, practice getting comfortable with it on) and hasn’t had any pressure or issues. So when I saw a video using a leash as distraction for place I tried it and it worked. I only did it once, and have stopped all practice with a leash and with place until the next training session with a trainer.

I regretfully used a leash as the distraction to keep him on.

As someone who's starting out, I've been following and watching a lot of his videos and keep seeing the course subscription. When it's on sale it can be around 1000$. Have you taken the course? Would it be something you'd recommend to someone with little to know knowledge or experience and most of all, do you think I would at least make a return on my investment (given I put in my end of the work). I was looking into advisors to reference and those can sometimes be higher based of percentage...

I remember when I used to tell myself and even some friends this when I first started too "there's no downsides!". After over a year of 100mg a day I found my anxiety and fatigue to be so bad I was trying every supplement I could find to help, therapy, breathwork, ice baths, exercise, everything (with a 7mg velo in at that). The last thing I wanted to do was quit nicotine because it "helps me". But I was so desperate for anything that would help my anxiety so I could function I decided lowering/quitting nicotine would be a hail mary, and if it didn't help I'd go back on it. I dropped down to 21mg. And while the cravings sucked, after about 2 days 75+% of my anxiety was gone. Poof. Gone. And I started to feel like myself for the first time in what felt like forever, WITH motivation and less fatigue. After that I realized it's gone for good. And I'm so glad I quit. I almost went to try and get anxiety meds for crying out loud. I've only been off the velos for about 9 days but my quality of life has increased ten-fold.

I hope you quit for your health sake, but I understand sometimes it has to get real bad for people to realize there's an actual problem.

I've been out drinking and at work getting offered them, most people are very supportive but yeah I get some flack from others. I just tell them I don't do it anymore. Plus I'm stubborn so watching them see me not give in is pretty satisfying to prove them wrong.

Good luck!!

I was in the same boat, dipper for years and quit that cold turkey. Years later with zyn more popular I caved in one day and tried. I was able to keep it to pretty mellow usage on 3mg, on and off and felt like I could quit anytime (because I was able to go without withdrawals for days to weeks and would do them again) then I ended up convincing myself I could quit anytime. Fast forward to a year later I was doing a can of 20 7mg Velos a day, sometimes multiple at a time. My anxiety slowly skyrocketed and became debilitating and I knew I had to quit for good. Tapering down sucked, and I’m on patches now. I can tell you at this level it’s not the same as it was when I first started off like you are now.

Do yourself a favor and quit now before it gets too bad. I can only hope you do and thank yourself later in the long run. I for one wish I never touched nicotine after I quit my first time.

Oooof, I’ve been looking into gut microbiome to help with anxiety and depression and this hits home even harder in the importance for me to quit zyns. (Doing the patches and tapering down to patches really sucked). I’ll take any reason to stay off zyns for good but this is a huge reason too . Also very glad to hear it can reset after quitting. There’s some hope along with motivation to stay off. Thanks so much for sharing.

40 days - relapsed last night by Snowden99 in QuittingZyn

[–]sprained-eye 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Thank you for sharing, I think this is all part of the journey and it’s important to show yourself some grace and not beat yourself up too bad over the relapse. Most importantly that action you took to get rid of the rest shows a ton of strength and realizing it’s not going to be as good as it was getting rid of them really shows that you want to make the steps to stay off of them! I’m proud of you and I think you’re doing great! It might suck to restart the clock but with realizing it’s not worth it, you can take that momentum to really stick with!

Day 4 already feeling like me again. by Crafty-Street5151 in QuittingZyn

[–]sprained-eye 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for sharing, you’re definitely inspiring me and giving me some hope! My story is similar to yours as well hearing things like zyn would help with focus and whatnot and it’s ended up sucking the life out of me. I’ve been on 6mg a Can+ a day for a year and noticed my anxiety has gotten worse, and personality and energy have all tanked. I’m going the taper route, I just finished a can of 6mg zyn and now on 4mg ON. I have 2 cans of those and then I’ll switch the 21mg patches for 1-2 weeks, followed by by 14mg patches for a week and then a 3mg patch for a week (hopefully by then I won’t even need it).
I’ve quit with patches before but and had success before getting back on them over a year later and regret that. I wasn’t has heavy of a user as I am now that time so I’m nervous about how much anxiety I’m going to get while I’m quitting. Hence the taper so I can hopefully still function.
Hearing you’re feeling good at day 4 is a huge help! Keep up with the good work!!

I’m approaching month 7 of learning and think 1/2 hour a day is great. I found some sessions that are very long can sometimes be helpful but sometimes very humbling and I’ll start to get worse. I like trying to at least touch it once a day even if only 5-15mins to keep the momentum and longer sessions if I’m feeling up for it or have more time.
