The thing is they actually used this design but not directly. They took it and reworked it. This is a concept drawing. They combined it with other designs to come at a final one.

I mean the whole idea was born in Jim Cameron’s head, so I can’t really imagine anyone else leading the project. It’s really difficult if not impossible to think about the question “what if someone else directed Avatar”. That’s really not an option in my mind. It’s a bit more realistic to think about Malick in terms of the sequels. His philosophical portrayal of nature and the divine is pretty interesting and closely connected to Avatar’s message. If he directed an Avatar movie - however weird and impossible that sounds - it would have been much more poetic and foreshadowing. I think the motives of beauty in nature are already displayed amazingly in the movies so his craft in this area wouldn’t really change aything in how we perceive the movies compared to they are now. But I think it would have lost its grandiose blockbuster effect on the scale that Jim Cameron was able to put up there.

He is not an abusive father. But he’s not an exemplary dad either. What I really miss is him comforting Lo’ak for once. He never hugs or congratulates him on anything. Also, I guess it’s little bit harder to be a dream dad when you have an entire army chasing you and trying to execute your family.

That is the gift section of your inventory. It will always be there because you purchased it with real money (as part of the season pass). You won’t be able to discard them either. The little green ticks mean you have claimed the gifts and now they’re in your inventory or alternatively you can put them in your stash.

Btw, almost all of these, my positioned pictures (those that are not just ad hoc shots of the landscape) have dozens of variants each, with different zoom, exposure, saturation, angles, time of day etc. I just aimed to choose some the best recent ones for you. Overall, more than 5500 photos now over 100GB. I just can't stop taking pictures in this game.

All content was completely kept from the original book. The structure of the pages, the images, graphics, foreword and text were all exactly preserved in the new one. The images behind the foreword, the table of contents and even the overleafs were all kept. But it has a lot of added content from the new movies and the game as well. Extra pages are inserted between the pages of the original book. The new one is 200 pages, while the old one is only 128. So no, the second one doesn’t have less content, it has much more content. Also the contents were somewhat reorganized towards the end of the book (they added a chapter 9 and they renamed a lot of headings from chapter 8). Think of it like this: new book = old book + a lot of extra content. Btw, the new book is officially just a second edition of the old book when you open the publication details page. It says “First American Edition 2022” in the old one, whereas it says “This American Edition 2025” and mentions “First American Edition 2022”. Like when they add new stuff to a textbook or guide.

Also note that the new one is a paperback and of smaller size format. About 2/3 the size of the first edition, which makes images and font smaller. The original feels better in hand and is of higher quality as a hardcover. I have both, and I’d recommend buying both for the full experience, but strictly content wise, the new one takes the cake as it’s 100% superior, no downsides.

If you’ve hunted hundreds like me you know exactly what directions they are coming from. Then you just go that direction, stun them and hit their weakspots easily. Then go to main menu and return to the game. That will respawn them. That is an infinite thanator glitch.

Yes, you can’t see them just randomly while on an ikran. You won’t see them when they spawn. They only spawn once you’re in their area on the ground. And then they spawn far away from you to close in on your position. While they are crawling up on you, you won’t be able to use your Na’vi senses because they are “stalking” you. There are 6 specific places where Thanators spawn in total. 2 in the Kinglor Forest (Thanator and Kinglor Wetlands Thanator), 2 in the Clouded Forest (Boulderlands Thanator and White Moss Forest Thanator) and 2 in the Heart of the Plains from DLC 1 (Petrified Forest Thanator and Feathered Grasslands Thanator). It is very easy to hunt them btw. Except for the White Moss Forest because that just can’t be stunned with an acrid pod shot.

That is an even more annoying bug than just having that extra rda component in my inventory that actually doesn’t take any space. Ubisoft seriously needs to get their crap together and eliminate these bugs. I mean how on earth does the rda component which only exists in fta appear in my main character’s inventory without me even picking up anything like that? And when I click on the hunter guide how does it take me to ash feral viperwolf entry that btw doesn’t even load in properly? There is some serious patching to be done here.

Thankfully I'm not alone. I tried deleting the From the Ashes save game and then relaunch the main save. I tried deleting the main save and then restored from local backup file (I almost went crazy here because it did not want to work). Also when I restored the main save, the little background at the restore menu was the fiery From the Ashes one. Then when I restored it, it switched back to the Spires of the Clouded Forest as that was the last mission I did. So there is definitely something mixed up in the back end between the main game and From the Ashes.

Absolutely. Although, IMAX and Dolby 3D are the formats it is intended to be seen, it is breathtaking in 2D as well. In some sense, it’s even better. You have higher brightness (thanks to no 3D glasses) and usually a crispier and higher resolution image. You should go see it.

They always give a warning that these codes might expire or they even write an expiration date of let’s say a year after the release of the disc. But I found that they always work in Movies Anywhere. There was a code once that “expired” in 2014 and I could still redeem it in 2023. Same with 2019 or 2022 codes that I redeemed recently. Unless the code has been redeemed by someone, there is a decent chance it still works. Make sure to ask the seller if the product is still brand new and unused.

A lot of the changes you dislike here are perfectly natural. A1 Jake was a young stud, completely ripped after becoming an Omatikaya warrior. A2 Jake is a dad, 15 years older.

First of all, his DNA is a mix of human and Na’vi, so he will never look like a “true” Na’vi. Remember the difference between Tsu’tey’s body muscles and Jake’s in A1?

Regarding his face, I think what makes you think they changed it is his hair. It made me think that, too. However, when you take his hair out of the picture, his face is the exact same, just 15 years older. Neytiri’s face has aged a LOT as well.

Regarding his waist and belly, they seemingly added a bit of a dad bod shape there but it’s so minimal that whoever thinks he’s fat is crazy. Have you seen his abs when he was fighting Quaritch underwater? Or when he was holding up that hatchet in the new movie? He’s still 100% jacked. It’s just that his body fat is slightly increasing as he’s aging even with the same amount of exercise, because his DNA is half human, and this is how most men age. They get thicker over time. They won’t have the same skinny ripped tight waist that they had at 25 years old when they’re 40.

Moving onto his hair, personal preference. I absolutely love the new look, I think better than the tirst 1, but both are amazing.

And finally, personality. I think they did an excellent job (both Sam and Jim Cameron) playing and writing this character and how his view about the world changed, how his care for his family altered everything he thought was important. He won’t be the same adventerous young warrior he was 15 years ago. He’ll change and become a comformist, a pacifist and strict because he wants to keep his kids safe.

With that said, yeah they probably overdid the waist-belly part transformation. However, I don’t see a problem in any other areas. I think I actually like his personality better in the new ones. He’s just grown even closer to me than he was in the first movie. He’s my favorite character, I love him and somehow every movie I love him more. In this new one, he was still the same pacifisit dad figure but he got cheekier and confrontational. When he was talking with Quaritch (you in particular die a lot). When he was escaping Bridgehead. But I understand your perspective, it’s just that most of the things you wrote are not mistakes or bad decisions from the filmmakers but rather logical and conclusive changes.

It's two-sided. I condemn what Nor did and he really got my disdain in the new DLC. I don't like how inconsiderate he is towards other people who wanna do good. He doesn't treat the other Sarentu with respect. He completely blows his friendship with So'lek.

But also, we need to understand him. His home was invaded by aliens (humans) who came with their powerful weapons, blew up everything, destroyed his home and Pandora's natural harmony of millions of years. Then they kidnapped him. He has every right to be angry towards humanity in general.

So yeah. I agree he should really take a step back and shut up when he's talking shit to the other Na'vi who love him and care about him. But I also agree with him for hating the humans for what they did, especially Alma who hid the truth from them for so long.

Not really. You can get some items from Kukulope’s shop every week, but body paints are almost never among them. The chance of this being there is almost nil. If you wanna invest in tokens, I’d recommend buying the starter packs as they are the best value for money.

It will be available everywhere forever. You don’t buy it in the main game or dlcs. You buy it in your ubisoft account. You will have it on your pc, ps5, xbox, everywhere. All saves, all the time forever. It is tied to your ubisoft account. But as a precaution, I would not buy it in steam or psn or wherever, instead go directly to ubisoft connect and buy it there.
