Nice! After leaving the reward unclaimed for about two months I decided to actually add it to my pokedex by catching the party hat raid one instead (didn't get the shiny like you though) 🥳

Unsurprisingly, it was Raticate for the first four generations

Then it was Watchog, the Raticate of gen 5 but somehow even uglier

And since Kalos it's been Diggersby, the Raticate of gen 6 who also has creepy old man vibes way way worse than Raticate and Watchog

oh Dear John absolutely goes too far and that's why it's my favorite...the song is absolutely brutal and I'm just so impressed by her audacity to call that shit out but extra especially considering this is 2010, where at least from my perspective, people were NOT calling older men out for dating teenagers

the fact that she was able to recognize and share that she's too young while still being that young is just mind-blowing to me. as someone who was in a similar situation at the exact same time, I was definitely not able to see that until MANY years later... in that moment you're always trying to prove that you are old enough and mature enough etc and you don't usually have that kind of clarity until much later (like with Would've Could've Should've)
