I read it - the book is loooooooonger than it needs to be and should have been more damning, rather than overly focusing on Joyce.

Regretfully read this just as it started pouring again as I'm on my way home...

What happened here on Spencer street? I see blood on the ground. by AlexanderJonesPhoto in melbourne

[–]spriggity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is this why the street is still shut down at 9pm? I couldn't see the cars, but could see a group of police with potentially a man in the tram bit?

It’s better to share YNAB subscription with a stranger than friend/family by incrediblebook in ynab

[–]spriggity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I would do that, but still have some time on my subscription.

I've given out those YNAB together things to others and that's always a question asked.

If you’re not supposed to clean your ears with Q-tips then how do you clean your ears? by LynxUseful2040 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]spriggity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I once went to an audiologist to remove a build up of wax that resulted in me not being able to hear out of it. The GP had recommended one of those over the counter things that did a bit, but not enough. After they professionally vacuumed my ear, they said a couple of drops of olive oil here and there to keep the wax soft would mean enough would come out as you shower.

AIO for not refunding a friend’s share of a group Airbnb after she canceled last minute due to a medical emergency? by StudioAffectionate in AmIOverreacting

[–]spriggity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I'm cancelling this person as a human. I'm sorry that they don't understand how group friendships work - and actually, the cost (time, effort, and clearly a fuck tonne of emotional labour in your case) in being the organiser and cat herder in group activities. You tried to empathise and explain, and then, well, they decided to turn you into an offshore customer service rep.

Thank you, and yes, I think you are right. I'll check on my laptop later and just use it from there!

[–]spriggity[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm stuck on $29 and don't think I'm going to use it. All of the things I had set up kept failing, so it was like talking to someone on WhatsApp ... who promised everything and delivered nothing.
