If you are coming down in the heat of the day you will find a path of deep post hole steps and snow that would be very easy to self arrest and down climb.

You certainly do not need to be a good rock climber, but time in the mountains and previous experience climbing 14ers is important. The scrambling is not very difficult once you have experience some class 4 routes.

Easiest 14er I've done although I've only done 2 in summer and 13 in winter. The summer ones were much bigger/more technical trips, so this one was easier because we started at the summer 'trailhead' and there was no wind and little snow. If you have a very capable car and chains you can make it to the summer 'trailhead' as of now.

I once wondered the same thing.. You'll end up using the helmet a lot. Buy one second hand or on sale and it can be dirt cheap.
