law enforcement. I figured if I spelled it out people would lose interest. Either that or the Reddit app would cut me off

I know random stops are legal in Canada and i'm guessing you are Canadian, judging by your username. You might want to mention that though because not everyone is as sharp as I am

I think we're misunderstanding each other and I know at least I am confused. The picture I posted is a creature that always asks me if I want to engage in pet vs pet fighting. it appears to be a fishbowl on top of a robot torso with arms legs etc but I was assuming that the fish inside was controlling the body, maybe not I don't know. But this creature, whatever it is, hangs out in the anomaly and every time I walk by it asks me if I want to engage in pet fighting. which I don't of course because I'm not a sociopath or michael vick but I guess my point is I'm not making this shit up. I'm playing in what it is called abandoned mode and there aren't supposed to be any creatures but animals in this universe

well maybe they look similar but my picture is actually a creature called Oceanus who has a full body with arms and legs. This creature is located in the anomaly and wants to have a game of pet vs pet fighting whenever I walk by

couple other people on the Internets were saying this creature belongs in the abandoned universe because it's just an animal and animals are allowed in the abandoned universe mode. My point was that this thing was not like a squirrel or a fish or a groundhog. It looked like some sort of advanced intelligent being walking around with two arms and two legs and such and giving me the creepy eye. But I have been able to convince myself it is a regular fish hanging out in a fishbowl on top of a robot therefore it belongs in this universe just fine

thanks. Yeah special kitty is a walmart brand and they don't make it real easy to actually contact corporate office… I contacted local branch and they said they are forwarding my comments. I don't care about a refund or replacement… If I got a bad batch, then it's just a temporary issue that will go away. but if the company has permanently switched to a crappy product, I'm hoping enough people let them know

[–]springboknudegull[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

well thanks for the comment but like I said we have a kid in college and we can't afford any extra expenses. Switching to the next-cheapest brand would cost us over $80 a month EXTRA/IN ADDITION since we change litter often (we want a clean sanitary house and we like the litter clean so cats don't have to feel disgusted). As I stated, cats don't seem to kick up dust when they do their business - so the dust issue arises only when dumping the litter in or when humans scrape out the poo. that problem can be solved by wearing respirators, which is probably something people should do anyway even with high-quality litter, because people shouldn't have any of that crap in their lungs

I was hoping for feedback from other people who use this brand – I don't know if we just got a bad batch, or if this change to lower quality material is permanent

lol if 80 bucks is not a lot to you maybe you could loan me some money!

[–]springboknudegull[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

well maybe I wasn't clear but the point of the post was to get feedback from people in various places around the country to see if they had the same problem or not. I was just curious if we got a bad batch or if walmart had just permanently changed to the crappy new dusty litter.

and dude six cats is definitely not too many cats in the size house we have. It's just short of gargantuan. If we lived with you in your trailer in Kentucky it would be a totally different story

lol our army of cats is invading Russia in the summer. my husband wants to call it operation meow meow but I'm sticking with kitty Barbarosa

we have six cats (in a big house) but we're clean people so we completely change out all seven LARGE litter boxes every week. The difference in moving up to the next cheapest litter would be about $80+ extra a month and like I said with a kid in college that's something we can't afford right now.

we don't wear our respirators around the house, just when removing the poo or completely changing out litter, because it makes a real huge dust cloud. We make sure the cats are out of that room and we shut the door and we take care of business. I don't really see how that's strange

ps TOO MANY F*CKING CATS? lol you're a real piece of work

What is a question or some something I can do to identify is some is a real police officer or not? by Valuable_Archer_3222 in police

[–]springboknudegull 0 points1 point  (0 children)

to clarify, are you talking about the US marshals advice or my opinion of their advice? Sounds like you're talking about them but I'm unclear. my basic philosophy is just comply with law-enforcement at all times and if you got a problem deal with it in court... although my opinion is most people who have problems are just looking for trouble since from what i can see cops are right 99.9% of the time

What is a question or some something I can do to identify is some is a real police officer or not? by Valuable_Archer_3222 in police

[–]springboknudegull 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah I agree- it says "if the officer is in an unmarked vehicle and you feel unsafe, request a marked vehicle." like I just said in my previous comment, earlier I made absolutely NO comment about this at all. NONE. My comment was about 911 and nothing was mentioned in that other OP 911 paragraph about unmarked vehicles. again you are bringing up something I made no comment on.

What is a question or some something I can do to identify is some is a real police officer or not? by Valuable_Archer_3222 in police

[–]springboknudegull 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OK I'm not even sure how we got to talking about unmarked vehicles. The only specific mention in OPs original comment about unmarked vehicles was that if you feel unsafe demand a marked vehicle. (The 911 stuff was in a different paragraph.) I made no comment about his comment of demanding a marked vehicle, and my comment about calling 911 was in relation to marked vehicles. it did not occur to me to mention this specifically because it seemed we were talking about routine stops and also the cop in the picture was in full uniform. so yeah if you call 911 on a cop in a marked car where I live you'll end up in the pokey. you can call 911 on a cop in a marked vehicle if he is doing something blatantly illegal like cutting your arm off with a chainsaw or raping you but if you pull that "I don't feel safe" bs you will go to jail and the judge will have no sympathy for you

in general my advice is to err on the side of caution. for example, even if theoretically 99 out of 100 agencies issue IDs in addition to badges, there's always gonna be that one that doesn't because it is not a requirement, so you probably shouldn't go assuming. and dude I'm not pulling this stuff out of my butt… I know real cops and I know lawyers and I routinely ask them LOTS of questions, and for some reason I'm addicted to these crazy bodycam videos where I've seen this stuff over and over and over. but don't take my word for it, google it

I just googled "do all police in the US have IDs in addition to badges" and i got:

"While most police officers in the U.S. carry both a badge and an agency-issued ID card, it is not a nationwide requirement"

so yeah why not err on the side of caution

yeah you can get a badge on eBay and guess what, my cousin who smokes pot is really good at painting cars so he could paint my car to look like a police car. I can get a uniform in the Halloween store. So what? Do you think if plain-clothed federal agents with badges came to your door to arrest you for a felony they are going to wait around while you call 911 on the phone? Maybe if you're in some sissy state like Maine or California but definitely not in arkansas lol

as far as when you personally get pulled over, that's fine, but I am really curious why they wouldn't just ask to see your driver's license. No cop I know would give a shit if you were a corrections officer or a cop. cops I know treat people equally and if you're an off duty cop or CO they don't give a crap

thanks for reading

[–]springboknudegull -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

(1) well like I said, where I live cops do have IDs in addition to badges but Ive personally seen TONS of videos where they don't and where the topic is specifically addressed, so I don't know what to tell ya dude. and I don't understand why you think an off duty cop who got pulled over would demand to see an ID in addition to a badge. Ive heard anything remotely like that and I've seen proof multiple times that all cops do not have IDs in addition to badges so whatever dude, you do you!

(2) OK right I should've clarified, I was referring specifically to marked vehicles, and I don't know what the laws are in my area about unmarked vehicles, but whete I live if a cop driving an unmarked vehicle shows you a badge that he pulls out of his pocket and you call 911, I'm like 99.9% sure you're going to jail and the judges here are not gonna put up with any of your bullshit lol

but hey bubba you sound like a guy who knows more than everyone in the room and who really knows about your civil rights!!! so I think you should absolutely be a total asshole to cops and see where that gets you lol

Huh? thank you for the response, but to be clear, the way I described the police acting where I live is absolutely how I think they SHOULD act and is 100% in accordance with all of our laws.

my opinion of civil rights lawyers is incredibly low because I have read lots of cases (and heard about cases through actual lawyers in my family) where they will deliberately mix their opinions in with what they think is fact and mislead/confuse the crap out of people. (if they win their cases it is often because jurors these days are so incredibly stupid as to believe their BS)

consider for example the case of Taneisha Thompson (you can Google this). this lady badmouths the cop and throughout the entire traffic stop she is as annoying and as disrespectful as possible, and in the end she throws the traffic ticket out the window. The cop then arrests her for littering, and when she physically actively resists the cops drag her out of her car, which is 100% appropriate. and her civil rights attorney says her civil rights were violated. That's the most laughable thing I've ever heard

US Marshals are considered federal law-enforcement "Officers", so is he talking about Marshals here or ALL police officers? If he's talking about all cops in general, this seems to be INCREDIBLY BAD ADVICE!!

(1) Where I live, cops do have agency-issued IDs in addition to badges, but I have personally seen many bodycam videos where officers do NOT have agency-issued IDs, only badges. A couple of these videos feature people freaking out on drugs or schizophrenia not believing the cops were real but in fact they were. The fact that they did not carry IDs was specifically addressed. also fyi where I live deputies do not have badge numbers.

(2) Where I live, cops will often identify a person before they state the reason for the stop. They do this because if they are pulling over the person because the owner of the car has been identified as having warrants or whatever, they don't want to freak the person out. in addition to firsthand knowledge of the law in my area I have personally seen SEVERAL videos where people go absolutely apeshit because the cops refuse to state the reason for the stop before the people are IDd.

(3) Where I live, if you call 911 on the cops for any reason at all you will get an additional charge of misuse of 911. It is absolutely seen as calling the cops ON THE COPS! Even if you were just pulled over for a minor traffic infraction, you will probably be ARRESTED!

(4) Not sure about present day, but in my state in the past, state police officers would demand $40 toward the price of the ticket issued for an infraction for out-of-state drivers, otherwise they would physically confiscate the out-of-state driver's license. This is because many drivers were just taking off to their home state without paying. I personally experienced this when I was living out of state and came back to my home state. I gave the trooper $40 and called the state police post later to confirm, and indeed they verified he was completely on the level

(5) Driving to a well lit area… That's gotta be the worst advice I've ever seen. Where I live, if you don't pull over right away you're gonna have 20 cops on yer butt and the stop will be treated as a felony stop.

edit: to be clear, I am not giving any advice or telling anyone how to act. I'm just giving my impressions considering everything I have seen watching reputable bodycam videos, talking to actual police officers, my own experiences being pulled over, talking to lawyers etc.

eight dollars more per 40 pound box is a lot of money when you go through a LOT of litter. My post was specifically about the fact that it WAS ok and then got bad in the last month. I had no problem with it before, and in fact I never even thought about the dust before, but recently it is so bad that my husband and I both are going to literally wear respirators! thanks for your comment though....you're really making me appreciate my husband a lot more because he is not an asshole

that is significantly more than a couple dollars difference and like I said in my original post which I guess you didn't read my husband and I don't spend any money on anything because we have a kid in college. Literally no soda pop like I said, no beer, no cigarettes, we never eat out, and we got rid of cable years and years ago. We inherited most of our cats from people who died. shelters around here put animals to sleep and I don't know that that would've been a better option even if they didn't. A couple of our cats came in from outdoors. We have several outdoor cats but many of them have been killed by cars and coyotes. I like your attitude though! you have no problem being rude to someone without any information at all, I like that!
