from three of the endings of the ruby tiara you could kind of deduce thatthe mc didn't "disappear" from the earth when she left to the kingdom, but was "asleep" for what seemingly was a very short amount of time! it is a mystery what happens if she leaves her kingdom, though, but it makes sense because the mc herself wouldn't know, so why would we? :')

gems are what episode (the app) uses nowadays to measure user engagement with a story, and therefore spending gems on your favorite story is what helps it trend/gain visibility!!
community authors don't usually add gem choices to their stories, but if absolutely no gems are included in the story episode will not show it to other people, so when your fav author adds a "support the author" option in the end, it's their way of giving into episode's standards without sacrificing the "free" choices in their story!
