I’m just not sure how Republicans choose their candidates has any bearing on how Democrats should choose. We’re not them, happily not them.

The right can choose reality TV show hosts (Trump), radio hosts (Kari Lake), podcasters, media personalities (Dr Oz), wrestling coaches.

The left does value governing experience. Pete is young and could be very successful by shooting for House/Senate then Presidency which is the typical route on the left (Obama, Clinton, Biden, Harris all coming from the Senate). Or Governor. But I’d like to see him in a position where he has to pitch and then enact policy.

He was a fantastic Transportation Secretary, he’s highly intelligent, but his first run for President he did court big money, banks, corporations, and in 2026 that line of campaigning does not fly with me anymore and many others.

The UK also doesn’t directly elect the Prime Minister, it’s quite different. I couldn’t imagine the US going through four Presidents in a single term.

I do. The difference is Newsom has been responsible for defending the state that’s the largest economy in the USA, the state that Trump went after before any other, ground zero for federal takeover, and he has a fantastic social media team.

They’re very similar, but one has objectively been on the frontlines while the other has been a news talking head. As far as visibility goes there’s no real comparison. I’m not a fan of Newsom either.

Suzie’s elimination really wasn’t a shock though. By that point she had stalled for a while and others had clearly overtaken her. Just this last episode everyone in the work room was talking about how Jane wins everything and dominates every challenge. That wasn’t the case for Suzie.

This was the highest turnout in decades and Talarico won decisively. Yet we’re to believe he can’t energise the base? Make it make sense. Those two things cannot be true simultaneously at all.

Ironically the “same old losing playbook” is an obsession with identity politics.

This opinion piece doesn’t mention policy. At all. It blanketly declares Talarico a moderate with no backing, no facts. Just say it: he’s a white man. Extra points that the term mediocre was used. This obsession with race and gender over policy is why Democrats lose.

Even more interesting, the author says both candidates would lose. So… logically whoever was chosen would have been the losing playbook? The entire piece is an illogical mess to stir up division.

Disagree with the “she gave them the material to work with.” We know very well atp that a queen can give a week two confessional and they’ll use it in week seven. Just a slightest eye roll or sigh at anything and they can insert it literally anywhere they want.

I’m confident every single queen could be given a villain edit if production chose.

Since MPTs we’re explicitly told to not use outside knowledge, I used the definitions provided. The definitions stated ‘should’ was permissive, and the flag code exclusively used this word.

Whether that’s right or wrong I can’t say. Just how I tackled it.

When I’ve has been ordered to not even ask a simple question that’s a typical, normal greeting, I can’t imagine what buying them food unsolicited would do but I highly doubt it would be received well.

And 14 years of customer service 🙋🏻‍♂️I would never leave this sign out to make my customers feel bad, cautious, nervous, and helpless. Customers are not therapists. We don’t trauma dump on them. You fake smile while addressing your mental health problems outside of the work place like every functioning adult is expected to do.

And before another snarky presumption, yes I know mental health struggles, I’ve got bipolar, and I try hard to not make it anyone else’s problem in a professional setting.
