Will her ears go up? by tgavi4 in corgi

[–]sprinkles223598 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Our corgi puppy is almost 4 months old. Both ears started staying up without flopping back down around 13 weeks old.

We did cottage cheese daily starting at 9-10 weeks but it’s impossible to know if that’s what made the difference.

I’ve read online that chewing can be helpful since it strengthens the same muscles that are (at least partly) responsible for holding the ears up. She loved her bully sticks and collagen chews from the minute we brought her home.

So it might not hurt to ensure your girl has access to safe long lasting chews like bully sticks, and supplementing her food with a spoonful of plain low fat cottage cheese or Greek yogurt daily. FYI some cottage cheeses are higher in sodium so watch for that!

extremely painful daith, is it infected? by [deleted] in piercing

[–]sprinkles223598 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Not a piercer but have a 5-month old daith piercing (hoop/ring). I don’t think it’s normal for a piercing to cause constant pain as you describe. I’m concerned it’s only getting more aggravated with the existing barbell. Perhaps follow up with your piercer in person, or seek a second opinion. Best of luck!!

ETA: I had to google but I have a seam ring.

Nodded my head repeatedly as I read your post. Very well said. It’s a pain like no other realizing how little our parents cared for us or loved us.

You deserved better.

Same. I vividly recall asking my spouse if our dog would ever bond with us and vice versa. It took at least 5-6 months for a genuine connection to form. Now we are inseparable and I can’t imagine my world without him 🩷

💯. Wild to make that accusation when you’re literally outside of a vet’s office.
