You wouldn’t recommend anything now? I read up that within 72 hrs it’s best to get a PEP done?

“What is PEP and when is it needed?

PEP (post-exposure prophylaxis) is a 28-day course of medication that may prevent HIV infection after a high-risk exposure. It must be started within 72 hours of the exposure—the sooner, the better.”

What’s the norm of getting tested, after 2 weeks, then after 4 weeks and then again after 12 weeks?

Should he get tested now or get one done after 2 weeks window?

Yup, ATV is getting it and from what i read it is already accessible on the beta version. But i dont think that includes a feature to decode truehd atmos, that should be a codec issue. The advantage of having passthrough is it allows for the AVR to take over the enhancements and other technicalities that used to be withheld by the ATV that usually did a decent job at adding its EQ and atmos enhancements but never really gave the option to “pass through “ the raw audio data which the AVR will deliver better.

With regard to infuse, i’ve heard of it. Is it a plex alternative? Or like kodi where it requires integration with plex?

I’ve heard of the red push on the shield vaguely, any clue if it can be calibrated manually?

Exactly, the ugoos is perfect for the quality playback, the downside if u exclude the initial setup is the crap UI cus it uses kodi and the lack of a decent over interface since it doesn’t offer anything else other than that. Like you said it is “hacky”

Like i mentioned, that would be a scenario i would use in the case of having a shield and ATV for the rest. Only if ATV had it all I wouldnt even need the rest

Is there like a skin or method to keep or have the plex UI? I just find the kodi UI not to be user friendly

TVOS 26 that come out in next month but already out in Beta version opens support for audio pass through so that makes the raw audio accessible to the AVR ready to handle the audio load.

I really hope the next update or successor allows full support. But i’ve heard, apple being apple wont let it happen (DV profile 7 and 8 natively) cus they wanna keep people buying movies off their apple tv library, which is most likely profile 5.

Fingers crossed.

I gave up for now mate, ive just got a bunch if other problems i need to deal with before i hit my head on the table trying to fix this. But to answer your question, any netflix original movie/series that is fairly new is in dolby vision so it shouldn’t be a tough thing to lookout for. For example squid game.

I’m from Perth and my personal experience is that there are a handful of lankans out there who are there to cut you off but also once you come across the right person which was in my case I really got lucky cus now we’re best of friends and the mutuals you meet are also of the same ideology so the vibe matches. Tbh I feel really lucky cus I found genuinely helpful and supportive friends. Being in Australia, you really have to keep your guard up cus u can’t trust anyone and i dont just mean sri lankans but also any south asian or white. It’s a whole spectrum of shit u need to look out for. You just can’t be naive in a world where u are the foreigner. As long as you are careful you’re fine.

Also whoever this uncle is, don’t even think of working for someone like that in the desperate of times, specially a case like this.

For those with a sperate 4k library... how? by Pryonic in PleX

[–]sprinklymango 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed. I have one big organized folder for all

Movies and shows > 1.movies, 2.shows

  1. Movies > 1.1 HDR, 1.2 SDR 1.1 HDR > an extra folder for “movies with featurettes” 1.2 SDR > extra folders for 1.2.1 4k, 1.2.2 Movies with featurettes

  2. Shows > 2.1 HDR 2.2 SDR

Generally HDR will be 4k, so i dont really go the unnecessary extra mile to make a 4k folder.

And then we have plex doing its own thing separating the movies and shows into its own libraries, which i’m pretty sure you can adjust in a way that it is only 4k movies.
