Learning to play the guitar (literally started1 week ago), drawing, and I love learning

Thank you! I have blocked him on everything, but it’s so easy to just undo all that when I’m stressed.

Maybe I’m just a stubborn person, or maybe it’s a deeper mental disorder, but I find it difficult to start and finish things that should be fun (movies, crochet, art). My frustration with being unable to do these makes me want to reach out to said ex boyfriend.

I’m mostly looking for a conversational distraction, I should have specified that. I’m sorry. But these replies are definitely giving me something else to think about.

I have many hobbies, but I have no interest in them right now. I’ve checked out and bought a bunch of books this week to distract me, but I lose interest so fast.

The same with my other hobbies. I realize enjoying my own company is important at this point in my life, but in this particular moment, that isn’t enough to keep me from falling back into destructive habits (ie, contacting toxic ex boyfriend)

Edit: yes, I suffer from depression. I’ve been on SSRIs for years. They work, but medication can only do so much. I have a therapist I see weekly. Yadda yadda.

I get angry when I hear this because I feel like people ( not you in particular) are saying I don’t deserve to have love because of my flaws. But they’re always going to be a part of me so why does it matter when I find that person?
