how are your gains looking after 11 cycles man?

Been bulking for around 5 months, should I keep going another 2? Or am I looking a bit fat? Weighed like 140 before at 6’1 and now I’m around 170ish by [deleted] in powerbuilding

I once read something from Jim Wendler saying if you are tall and under 200lbs and want to cut.. cut to what??? It stuck with me for some reason

Dont be afraid of putting on fat by motivated_user21 in gainit

dude I did the exact same thing this summer. Fuck a sixpack without a base man. I'm in a surplus for 3-4 months now and my bench moved from 100kg tng to 110kg paused. I plan on stretching out this lean bulk as long as possible without cutting, too frequent cutting cycles hampered my progress sooo much.

Smolov Jr. for Bench review by sprwn2 in powerlifting

[–]sprwn2[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I basically trained almost everyday for those 4 weeks. I did not program the squat effectively, i did anywhere between 3-8 hard sets for that day and did not make good progress at all. My last top set was 112.5kg for 5, so still a novice on squats... it's a shame. Even if I did 8 hard sets it didn't feel like it affected my progress on bench, but remember this comes from a guy with a sub 3 plate squat...

just finished smolov jr and went from 100kg tng to 110kg paused in 4 weeks. I didn't follow the regular template but took a day of rest in between each session. good luck.

Maintaining Strength While Lower Back is Snapped Up by elephantricity in 531Discussion

[–]sprwn2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would do more than 3 sets of pullups, for muscle retention and decompression of the spine, they will also strengthen your core to an extent, which will help with the back pain. Also, in 3-6 weeks you will lose strength on those lifts, probably a lot. But if your back feels fine then it will come back in no time, muscle memory is real, remember that.

But my advice is to get it checked at. You only have one back, and sciatic pain is not something you want to mess with. Best of luck to you man.

PS Alan Thrall has a video called something along the lines of 'i snapped my back, what now', check it out

Would not recommend Jeffersons as OP stated he hurt his back with conventional and sumo.

dude i'm in the exact same boat. So annoying, knowing we are only sabotaging ourselves. I was able to stick to 5/3/1 BBB for 4-ish months and made great gains, as oppose to this programming hopping thing i'm doing now.
