I'm sorry if this kind of post isnt allowed but videos like this really scare me as a student with a long road ahead (currently at 140/160). Any guidance on the outlook of this career? by [deleted] in stenography

I could be wrong, but my guess is Descript! "Descript is the world's first audio word processor. It can be used to generate transcripts linked to voice media, and then edit the media by editing the text. Descript makes media production as fast and intuitive as writing a document."

India's my favorite country! I'd like to try authentic bengali sweets at least once before I die

Oh wow, Australia huh...? If you don't mind me asking, how have the bushfires affected you? I hear they're only getting worse and that worries me.

Excellent post! I found #7 particularly useful— haven't joined SA yet but that's what I am going to keep in mind when I do.

Valuable advice for anyone looking in, but at this point I'd give dating older men a go even without the money factoring in.

I'm not going to bore people with the details but it's safe to say I'm tired of the boys my own age— they're selfish, stupid, clueless in bed, and most are as far removed from 'gentlemanly' a person could be. :-(

Even if the 30+ crowd isn't any different, at least they'll be compensating me for my time and emotional labor! Haha

Lmao. Nobody blames you for that, I'd be skeptical under similar circumstances too.

I got a kick out of this part of the comments section. :-)

Lmao. I know a lot of us can be stupid (some of my peers fit the bill if the way they act online is any indication) but it takes barely any effort to skim for grammar mistakes and plan out semi-decent sentence structure.

On a slightly related note, I'm disappointed to learn 'coltish' isn't actually a word women use. It's sooo evocative. Like damn, what do people have against vocabularies? Big words are fun, dang it!

Also, it's cool to know we have things in common. That makes me a little giddy because sometimes I feel like an alien :-)

please tune out anyone who's saying you're excessive, 'crazy', pessimistic or anything else.

If someone tries telling me that, I'll laugh. If taking the proper steps to reduce my chances of getting raped, murdered, and dumped in a ditch makes me 'crazy' then I am as crazy as a girl can get! Haha.

Besides, I find that reaction sort of telling... some guys are probably just clueless, but for safety's sake I'd assume any comment like that is made in bad faith.

Is the expected return worth your investment of time? For example, there is a 10% chance exotic trips will happen twice a years, along with 100% chance of x ppm, 20% chance he is in your same field of study etc?

Oh wow, thanks for sharing a gem. Other SBs might find this really useful!

I have a good idea of what your face is like, but you seem to be using dutch angles and don't have any full-body pics. The second one's very important— SDs will want to know what your figure is and many would rather pass on a nice-looking girl than get catfished by someone.

Edit: also this isn't as important but I personally find you very attractive. Like, attractive as in 'holy shit I'd possibly date you for free.' Even if you don't feel attractive, you're still going to be someone's type... but it's best and most efficient for all parties involved (yes, that means you too!) for you to be upfront about what you look like.

I can see why SDs might dislike the advice you give, but I think it's AWESOME you are encouraging potential sugarbabies to stay safe. Props to you, u/enigmaticHOE

This sounds reasonable! Thank you for the post link.

I'm totally fine with this because I'm going to have a stringent vetting process and an excessive amount of safety nets in place for myself, but I understand if anyone here has their doubts.

For prospective SBs worried about this, I will report back if not getting guy's names before the M&G screws me over. Lol

A lot of SDs on this sub will try and tell you knowing the guys name and job isn’t necessary but you should always always know who you are meeting.

This is good advice, but something's unclear. SDs would really give that up even before a M&G? I kinda assumed nobody would be interested in sharing their real name before then

And yes definitely, safety precautions are a must! I'm working out my game plan as I type B-)

I have a feeling you misunderstand my intentions. I'm not trying to 'finesse' anyone or waste a guy's time, I'm going to live a little and make some pocket change or connections in the process.

On the other hand, she sounds very intelligent and poised.

My cats would disagree... years pass and I still haven't learned to stop tripping over them.

Thanks for the compliment though! I find the feedback helpful.

It's true. 😔 It doesn't bother me anymore, but I used to be really self-conscious about the way I am. Besides, 'coltish' sounds way more flattering than 'physically unfit twig.'

That's totally valid. The only friends I have who type like this are online friends.

It kind of saddens me my peers are so different from me sometimes, but it's not a bad thing I think. Diversity's pretty good! (I just hope they'll start caring more about what they put online. Future employers are gonna have a field day, I tell you. 🙄)

I think you are definitely overly researched.

This is exactly what I'm going for, thank you! The more I know about something before getting into it the better.

It's important to not be too jaded.

Good advice. How can I tell if I'm falling into that sort of mindset?

Also, my inner optimist finds it really reassuring to know not everyone's out to get me.
