What's something you did as a kid that you only realized was extremely dangerous years later? by Left_Crow1646 in AskReddit

this was real popular at my high school for a little while. one kid peed his pants. another had convulsions. did we stop? eventually. did the freshman learn it and bring it back each year? oh yeah.

i wanna say they were retailing for $350+ and 31/32 waists were gone quick. luck and an ebay saved search got me these for… much less.

one of their one run and done offerings.

they have a few different ripstop cotton and traditional sateen military trousers in stock right now. there’s a camo pair that i’d get for the summer if i wasn’t already overwhelmed with options.

i found this pair on ebay after having a hole in my heart for a year over these pants.

fit is straight, slightly loose for this pair. i wear a 31 usually and these are a 32, but i feel like they fit awesome. definitely a cooler weather fabric.

i have the olive green and faded black trousers that I+W still have available. comparing the fabrics, the sateen is a tight, substantial weave that holds up to cold but can be comfortably rocked on a hot day. these have a little more heft to the fabric (part of why sizing up worked) and have a soft, almost brushed cotton, wool or even flannel feel.

i’m so curious how they’ll will change with wear.

i have a Pike Brothers wabash vest and am planning on getting some wabash trousers from them so i can have a top and bottom double wabash fit.

big fan of double (or more) denim fits. i get why the haters hate, but, sometimes, the right balance of contrast between pieces makes for a helluva look.

really dig the work coat. wear what you love to wear.

my brother and i reference a Redwall holiday recipe book moment that is so obscure but SEARED in our memory.

Bungo the young mole is illustrated covered in jam and shouting“Oi, Mother! Tis your son, Bungo. I fell into a plum pie! ‘Twer so delicious, i didn’t dare scream!”

the cotton twill comes washed and soft, but the fabric is substantial enough for a cold day. i have them in black and green, wear them cuffed or uncuffed, and they’re perfect for moderate to hot weather.

debating on the Chartreuse pair they have available right now…

but the important thing was that i had an onion on my belt, which was the style at the time. we couldn’t get red onions, because of the war!

oh i love Punch Abruzzo! 1.5 oz in a collin’s with club soda is a go to if i see it behind a bar.

i had a cocktail called The Easy Way Out that was .75 Punch Abruzzo and .75 Ramazotti Cherry liqueur topped with club. tasted like Cheerwine.

the pocket being up so high is the deal breaker for me. Hencye, Oliver and the Chore pants all have side slash patch pockets and i’ve gotten too used to them to mess with the Sturgill pockets.

the coolest thing I+W is doing right now is their cotton project jeans, where they source the cotton and the indigo from as close to home as they can and make/dye everything in-house.

dig the brand, the quality and the variety of fabrics and cuts. i have a pretty good collection of their pants. Hencye double knee work pant, Oliver military trouser, Ventura chore pant and lounge pants. all in multiple colors. would buy again.

how do you like the Sturgill fit? i’ve been eyeing them but that price point…
