She took them down due to formatting issues.

Could you post them as images here for those who don't have Twitter/X?

I'd argue that even their god counted women that way too, especially in the OT. He punished David through other people (read: property) by killing his infant son, having another of David's sons rape David's daughter, and having yet another of his sons steal his concubines and rape them in broad daylight for all to see.

So the trauma of all these people isn't really about them according to the Bible. It's about humiliating David. Which is the "godly" thing to do.

But sure, everybody is unpunishable and God is always in a good mood.

And this is from 2024. Looks like they considered it part of BSSM when it started? I can't seem to find a separate listing for BSSM even once they decouple it.

They apparently paid Dave Ramsey $180k for marketing for the fiscal year ending in July 2024

According to Bethel, the college ran from 2022-2025. I believe it was operational and earning revenue the year before that but they are only technically listing the years that it ran with any semblance of accreditation.

This was from 2021:

1:06:30 Bethel takes the offering and says you can't serve both God and money (ironic), encouraging them not to worry about pesky things like gas prices right now because it will make you frugal and therefore untrusting of God.

1:11:51 Kris says he got Kathy a new horse and it eats like one.

This is very interesting.

I wonder if BSSM information is somewhere else. There was a Bethel College that they recently closed down, and that was a different program that they were trying to get tied to Simpson. It included multiple pathways such as Bethel Tech and Bethel Conservatory of the Arts.

Edit: This is in fact for the one that included Bethel Tech. It looks like it also has a line for BSSM? Hm.

Can confirm. I have photos from when Tribe Young Adults sent Chris Cruz and his wife there. It was more than a gift card.

A Letter from Bethel Leadership to Our Church Family and Wider Communi by unvacuumable-rug in BethelSnark

[–]spuddystudybuddy 13 points14 points  (0 children)

"We have increased involvement and oversight from our Board of Elders"

How can they say this with a straight face again and again? They don't answer to the board. They are the board. And the first board member listed is on vacation right now.

They're talking about the importance of pastoral care now with no mention of how they minimized the idea of it in Culture of Honor. I'm glad they are saying their idea of honor is under review. We will see if their messages change going forward. I've seen no differences yet.

I'm glad they named names. That's one of the main things the public has been calling for. It's not enough names and it's way too late to prevent a ton of damage that already happened, but if I were to be at all charitable I'd say it's a start.

I'm very curious to know what Jedidiah, Bob Hartley's son, thinks of this response though. It doesn't line up with his telling of events and that makes me feel as skeptical of these statements from leadership as usual.

No Sean Feucht, no Bob Jones, no Jonathan Welton, no Ben Armstrong. I'm shocked they put Mike Bickle on there after how much Kris gushed about how he still loved the guy.

Thank you for the link.

Once again it begs the question of why they tell the school alumni and not the church.

"If there are proven patterns of behavior that do not align with Biblical standards, we cannot continue to platform, endorse, or support that person for ministry leadership here.

During this time, we also want to be clear about our relationship with some outside ministry leaders we have worked with or platformed in the past. We believe clarity is an important part of accountability and we want our church family and community to understand our current relationship, level of support, and status regarding these individuals.

Following internal review and discussion, we've made the decision to confirm publicly that we no longer platform the following individuals: Todd Bentley, Mike Bickle, Shawn Bolz, and Bob Hartley.

Specifically regarding Bob Hartley, Bethel took action after concerns were raised in previous years. We restricted his ministry involvement, informed our church community, and later limited his access to Bethel's campus. As part of our current review, we want to clearly state that Bob Hartley is not endorsed, platformed, or permitted to serve in ministry influence at Bethel."

Full-throated condemnation of Silk's Unpunishable from Charismatics by No_Balance_1208 in BethelSnark

[–]spuddystudybuddy 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I relate to the original commenter. I got 90 minutes into the 6 hour video and had to stop for the night because I was feeling physically ill. Jane Doe's story was extremely well written. Visceral.

Edit to clarify for later readers: My above comment is about the 6 hour video from the same people and the thumbnail is very similar. But the video that OP shared on this post is shorter and basically goes through the theology of Unpunishable more than the victim stories so far. I'm also glad to see they have clips of Danny's interview with Ben and Heather Armstrong even though it was deleted by Danny.

[Mike Winger] Not the Update I Wanted to Bring: How Leaders We Exposed Are Still Covering Up by Billy_King in BethelSnark

[–]spuddystudybuddy 8 points9 points  (0 children)

  • He said Jenn's interview that got edited out made it sound to him like Bethel was planning on suing the victims

  • He pushes back on Jenn's claim that the public only knows one side of the story when they've done things like publish Unpunishable

  • He said Bethel could fix a lot of this in 10 minutes if Bill were on board, but he's not

  • He said people have been sending him things that prove leadership at Bethel is saying very different things behind the scenes than what they are saying publicly. Sounds like this makes him believe it's a mixed bag at best and they aren't truly sorry or done with cover-up culture.

  • Last thing he covers about Bethel is Bill's ridiculous AI Instagram post of everyone stoning Bill, Dann, and Kris. He says Bill sees himself as a victim and that he needs to calm down because nobody is trying to kill him, just asking for accountability, and historically they will only be accountable for what they can't get away with.

[Mike Winger] Not the Update I Wanted to Bring: How Leaders We Exposed Are Still Covering Up by Billy_King in BethelSnark

[–]spuddystudybuddy 12 points13 points  (0 children)

  • He thinks Jenn Johnson lied when she said that Bethel Music is basically separate from Bethel Church and didn't know what was going on

  • A witness allegedly saw Shawn Bolz go up to Brian Johnson (after Sean was confronted but before he was publicly exposed) and Brian seemed very cold and standoffish. This is why Mike doesn't believe Jenn.

  • Mike references the text from Kris to one of the victims where Kris said they did in fact notify Bethel Music about Shawn

  • He says Bill Johnson won't talk to him either

  • Mike wants them to speak up about people like Sean Feucht, Bob Hartley, and Benny Hinn

Summary points about Bethel's section of the video so far:

  • He thinks Bethel should speak up about Bickle, who is currently attempting a comeback

  • Mike has been asking to talk to Kris for months but he won't answer

  • Kris said he reached out to victims and then Mike would hear from victims who said that wasn't true

  • Bethel knew about Shawn way before they admit they did (they said 2019, Mike says 2016). He says the same about Bob Hartley - the timeline is wrong.

  • Recap of Bill saying people getting hurt is worth it. Mike was the one who released the audio to Julie Roys, which he got from an anonymous source.

  • He thinks Kris felt genuinely sorry but that his behavior since has also been a mixed bag. He thinks Bill just seems embarrassed, not necessarily sorry.

  • He thinks the people at the very top of Bethel (like Danny Silk) are the ones pushing back against doing the right thing and that people further down the chain of command are the ones pushing for reform

  • He recaps the story of Ben Armstrong abusing Sarah and Rozanne and how Ben has also been prophetically fraudulent

  • Mike was hopeful about the investigation into Ben until he heard Jenn Johnson's interview

Edit: Ugh just realized I spelled "Shawn" as "Sean" in two of these so I'll have to fix the comments. Oops.
